My wife says these are the best hand trowels she has ever had!

Happy wife, Happy Life!!! Bought these as a birthday present for my wife who is an avid gardener. She loves them!!! She wanted handles that would not bend and these absolutely do not bend. these tools are extremely well made of heavy gauge stainless steel with excellent wood handles. My wife says these are the best hand trowels she has ever had!

Top class set of tools!

This is an excellent quality set of tool for the garden. Spear & Jackson are a long established manufacturer of garden tools and without a shadow of a doubt these are well made tools, more importantly they are reasonably priced. The wooden handles are not rough where it joins the metal, so no criticism there either. Furthermore, having used these tools frequently for the last month now, I am pleased to confirm they are very comfortable to work with. With that said, I have no hesitation in recommending these. Handle came away

As you can see from the photo the handle has come completely away from the steel fork. It was wobbly after the first few uses and has now become completely detached. I am only an occasional gardener so I would estimate its been used for maybe 12-15 hours in total since purchased, and a lot of the time for scraping together leaves / debris between plants. So naturally a bit disappointed in its lifespan. The other items, though used less frequently are fine, and like all our tools are stored in a dry garden shed when not being used.

No brainer.

For anyone in the market for gardening hand tools and wants them to last for more than a week I would suggest buying these. The quality is superb . The materials used to make them are first rate and they come with a TEN year warranty which is called having confidence in your product. My Dad had Spear and Jackson tools and after he passed away my elder brother took them ( he got there first ) and still uses them . He is 71 and an avid gardener. So they do last a long time and before anyone asks they have not had new shafts and heads !!!!.

The original and best.

Excellent quality at a good price. Highly recommended. Update: these tools have now had a very good workout, especially the fork. I have recently used the fork from this set to clear out a large border overgrown with Polygonum bistorta 'Superbum' and geraniums. I would normally have done this job with a garden fork or border fork, but because I have a back problem I did the entire job with the Neverbend stainless steel hand fork. It proved to be a very strong and well made tool and performed superbly. The trowel too is very strong, well-balanced and well-made. Highly recommended!

I liked mine so much I bought a set as a gift

Good sturdy and rust-proof gardening tools. I bought a set years ago and they are still as good as new, so I bought another set as a gift for my cousin who is a keen gardener. The price varies a lot, and second time they were a lot more expensive, alas, but they should last a lifetime if used and stored properly.
