Great little pouch, but MAKE SURE it's authentic!

This is a nice little pouch for holding miscellaneous bits of gear. The clamshell design provides easy access when worn on the front of a vest and the internal elastic bands enable you to keep items securely in place. I've seen a few negative reviews and I can't speak to the long-term quality of the item just yet but I want to point out a potentially serious issue: I ordered two of these items, one through a third party seller who had a better price but only a single one left in stock, and the other direct from Amazon. The item purchased direct from Amazon was not actually a Voodoo Tactical pouch at all, but if I hadn't received a legit version from the third party seller I might never have been the wiser. In fact I might have formed a negative opinion of Voodoo Tactical's product quality, because the knockoff product is downright sloppy when it comes to MOLLE placement and stitching. So, if you get one of these, make sure the yellow Voodoo Tactical label is sewn into the inside of the pouch. If it's not, you got a generic substitute product and you are owed a replacement from the seller (whether that's Amazon or a third party).

Not as bad as some say

I bought this to add to my larger medical pack. I thought that I would put the basic everyday used stuff in it. That idea didn't work out because the other pack was to large already, so I have been using this as a first aid kit inside my car. Works great for that. I have a maxpedition fr-1, and this thing is pretty similar in size and capacity. no zippered enclosures inside, but those are difficult to use anyways. I can pack a lot of supplies in this. I also added a double pistol mag pouch on the outside (by voodoo as well), and place a flashlight and multi-tool in that. All in all, this was a good purchase for the price. When we hit the woods, I just strap the pouch on my day pack, and go. Looks cool, and I think the zippers are pretty good. Not a huge fan of their design on opening. It has a couple of elastic straps that keep it from coming open all the way. The theory is that when you open the pack upright, all your stuff doesn't fall out I guess. It kind of hinders the use though. the fr-1 has an adjustable 550 cord system so you can open it up flat if you want. I might try to rig my own system like that up on it. Good value all together though.

Excellent small IFAK

The Voodoo Tactical EMT Pouch is an excellent small size individual medical bag. The construction is very sturdy and stitching is excellent with extra reinforcement material on the inside of the pouch. The elastic trips on the inside are good quality. I did notice that one band was a very loose so you would have to insert something that would be large enough to fill the void. The size of the pouch is small and seemed just enough for a very small individual medical kit. I thing a better design would be where there are several panels that would fold out so you can see everything in the kit in on shoot. Most EMT medical bags roll out in a similar fashion. One thing I did not care for was that the clam shell design was held in place by two elastic strips which hold the two halves together. Ideally when opening the pouch it would be nice to have full access to the pouch with out it closing shut due to the retaining elastic strips. I might end up cutting the strips so that the pouch halves will stay splayed open allowing full access to both halves.

Feels sturdy with lots of room; could use more organization inside for smaller items.

I have an alpine pack that I want to use for general backpacking on short trips. It has a lot of places to stash gear, but no external zipped pockets except for the lid. I got this to attach to the outside of my pack for quick access of first aid and emergency gear. It feels very sturdy and has elastic loops and a large pocket inside for organizing gear. Although it appears water resistant, I would not assume this pouch is water proof and will keep certain items appropriately bagged in plastic. I give four stars because it does seem well-made and conforms to its description. I dropped the fifth star because for my purposes smaller loops inside would have been more helpful. I may do some sewing to customize it. I expected to fit my sheethed Mora knife in the pouch but it is barely too long to fit. This pouch seems well made and probably better-suited to a field trauma kit than a simple first aid kit, but I will be able to stash almost all of my emergency backpacking supplies in an accessible place outside my main pack.

Good for just a pouch, but recommend Condors Rip-Away EMT Pouch for its purpose

I have nothing against this pouch since it is made well, for the most part durable, especially for its price. However, I would prefer a better internal construction of the compartments and elastic straps. I like vertical straps vs horizontal as it hold rolled gauze etc easier. Also depending on where you place this on your molle gear, it may be hard to access when you need it. The reason I like the Condor rip away pouch better is because you can attach it to your molle gear and rip it off of the velcro base when you need it. Access is much quicker and easier. While the velcro does hold very well, it is also secured by a strap so it wont accidentally rip off. It also has the vertical elastic straps I was talking about. Lastly it has a handle that can use to rip the pouch open without using the zipper pulls. Another plus for quick access. If you plan to get the voodoo pouch as a misc pouch or something, it is by all means a good pouch. I just wouldn't use it as an EMT pouch.

Well made good quality

Not cheap, but well made and robust. Ideal for using in "the Field" . Good quality zip, it has a good feel. Debating whether it needs to be bigger (more capacity). But would it be too bulky, whereas this is well suited for essential first aid and EDC I like the fact that being Red it is easy to locate.

Gran pouch médico
