great tennis sock for preventing black toe

After watching several YouTube videos looking for a way to prevent black toe, I ran across a podiatrist that recommended thick socks. The gold Thorlos are thickest sock they make and these are working out very well, so far. I have now played 9 sets of tennis with these and have not had any issues with black toe, which have plagued me for years. It takes a combination of the right shoe and sock and correct lacing technique, but you can check one of those boxes with these socks.

really good athletic socks

These are usually great athletic socks and I have worn them many years for different ball sports, exercise classes, etc. I gave them 4 stars for durability because a couple of the last 5 pairs I bought developed holes in the toes within 6 months...I hope that does not happen this time because it never had before.

Love Thorlos socks - read my review on their unisex sock sizing

I normally wear a 9 or 9 1/2 shoe. In athletic shoes I wear a 10. My foot measures right at 10 inches at longest point. With that said this MEDIUM UNISEX sock indicates it will fit a women's size 6.5 - 10.0 (or men's 5.5 -8.5). It is a tight fit for me and very uncomfortable in my comfortable Altra shoes. I definitely need a size large. I would recommend if you are near either end of their size chart to go up or down accordingly. Otherwise I have tried various options of their socks, mini-crew, crew, ankle. By far my favorite is the crew because I can fold down lower on my ankle. I haven't worn them except during the winter months so I don't know if they are overly warm for summer wear. I love though the amount of cushioning at the heel and ball of the foot as well as the top of the toes. I need that extra cushioning due to a previous broke toe that seems to continually give me issues. Definitely worth the higher price. I would have returned these but the seller keeps $3.40 for shipping fees to mail out the replacement pair - I can sell them outright to recoup my costs... just an FYI.

I probably have a dozen pairs by now. Fantastic socks. Some people think they look like grandpa socks but the performance is elite when I want to wear socks to play sports in and don’t need my grip socks

Cushy Tough Socks

These are my spouses favorite socks for Tennis. Very comfortable, thick and absorbant. Best sport socks for the long haul.

Comes in an adult's size Small

I wear a size 5-1/2 to 6 (US) size woman's shoe and most women's cushiony socks are too big. They either bunch in the toe or ride up in the heel. The size Small in this soft sock fits nicely. I do about 30 miles of walking and running per week. I rotate pairs and a sock will last about 4 months before I get a hole in the toe or heel.

Very good tennis socks

Very comfortable, kept my feet dry. Probably the main feature of this TX model is great cushioning. Helped with my heel and Achilles pain very nicely. Used them with Asics Court FF 2 shoes and was pain free for 1.5 hour on hard court.

Brilliant socks, the quality of the material is so good, soft, comfortable just feels like quality. They are not the cheapest but the quality and comfort cannot be faulted. Will certainly buy again - Oh and the delivery was spot on.

For tennis, these socks are the bomb!

My husband has lots of different sport socks, but for tennis, these are the only ones he’ll wear. Very soft, lots of cushioning, good sweat absorption. They launder very well too!
