Large for the stated size

I'm hoping these hold up better than the garden boots available at big box stores. Those rarely last a year before cracking and leaking. I wear a size 7.5 and normally buy size 8 since I can rarely buy half sized shoes. One great thing about Amazon is that they have a much larger selection of sizes and I did purchase size 7.5 steel toe boots that fit like a glove. I would say these size 8 boots are really a size 9. With heavy socks my feet still slide around inside of them. I'm going to put sole inserts in them which I usually do anyway. That should improve the fit.

How's this a safety toe boot?

They have a nice fit and good price, but the title line said safety toe and they are plain toe. I hope the cows and horses I'm around understand and stay off my feet.

Boots

These are decently made boots, that are tall, seem made of good material, and are pretty comfortable as far as rubber slip on boots go. Would be 4 stars except that the inside of the boots is kind of 'sticky' making them hard to get on and off. Similar boots have a kind of slick liner built into them, which makes that easier to do. Overall quality is between 3 and 4 stars, and if price is considered, they are probably a 4 star value. I spend a LOT of time in rubber boots (sometimes most of the day) and have worn $100 boots that were better on my feet at the end of the day, but if you aren't wearing them for long periods of time, day after day, these are fine, and a great value.

Good inexpensive boot.Sole will not puncture like a hunting boot.

I have had these about 1 year and they have held up well in a rough envirionment. I use this to work in a woods. The tread is thick so they do offer some protection from injuries. Most inexpensive knee high boots do not protect the bottom of the foot because the tread is so thin. The size runs high so buy the shoe size you would normally and with extra thick socks they should fit fine. if you don't want to wear thick socks buy a size under your shoe size. Much more durable than a Hunting boot as far as punctures go but they don't have a linner. Basically these are a step up above a Walmart boot.

Difficult to wear

I think the outside quality of the boot is great but not the inside. I had read a review before I purchased about being difficult to get on but thought maybe its just the socks this person wore. After trying this boot out with two different pair of socks I had the same results. The inside of the boot is slightly textured instead of being smooth and after you start trying to insert your foot it just stops. Yes with a little work you can get it into the boot but the texture is grabbing the sock causing it to be pulled tighter against your toes. The more you walk the tighter your sock gets on your toes and have to take your foot out to adjust the socks and start the process over again. No thanks.
