Great

The height of this lamp is perfect for me. Truthfully, I hang my necklaces on it. Love the light also.

The lampshade cannot be replaced due to construction of lamp

I bought two of these to replace two living room lamps that I had owned for years. I did not realize that these were not dimmable as I prefer a 3-way bulb. I also did not realize that the lampshade does not attach from the top - it is fashioned to screw into the light just underneath the light bulb, so I cannot use a different lampshade. This lampshade doesn't allow as much light to shine through as I would like. Also, the construction is a bit shoddy in that if you try to straighten the lampshade - the plastic insert underneath the lightbulb comes off and it doesn't secure very well when you put it back on. I do like the weight of the brass lamp, the brushed finish, and the height.

Replacement

I purchased a floor lamp just like this several years ago. My husband ran into it and broke it. So this is the replacement. We both love it, and I hope this one lasts longer.

Piece of garbage

The lamp itself is very sturdy and heavy. Unfortunately, the swing arm is pretty stiff and doesn’t move easily. The lamp shade is complete trash though! It was packaged pretty well so can’t blame shipping. It was asymmetrical, dented, and the top looked like a 2-year old glued it on. Returning this.
