More leggings than pants

I got these for my wife as she wanted a pair of pants that had some style and comfort. Well, they do have both, but she felt they were more leggings than pants. Also was disappointed in the lack of pockets. I'll be forward in saying she looks great in them, but if they're not functional for outside the house, then they've essentially become glorified lounge around pants, lol.

Very long, good quality

These pants are great quality and very nice, but they run very long. I am 5’8” and the large were very long on me. They have a pretty long side split at the flare and I just can’t say that I like the way they fit.

Comfortable but Not Cotton

I love GAP brand of clothing and was excited about getting these - GAP Women's Split Hem Ponte Pant. These pants are super comfortable and somewhat flattering on a fuller figure, but they are not cotton. I find that to be disappointing. These pants do seem to be made well, and I like the way the pant hems flare at the bottom. I even like the slit. I do feel as if they are a little too long for me and would look much better on a taller and more slender woman. Regardless how they look on a short, fuller figure frame, I’ll wear them. I might have even given them 5 stars if they were cotton. For sizing reference: my waist measures 37”, my hips measure 47”, I'm 5'4" tall, and I purchased a size XL.

Listing is incorrect - these are NOT 100% cotton

The listing said these were 100% cotton - I picked them up because I was intrigued, by definition ponte is mostly polyester so I wanted to see what GAP was doing here. Turns out the listing is just wrong, these are actually polyester jersey like ponte is supposed to be. These are a little slinky / shiny feeling when holding them, but they actually are cute on. They look bootcut in the most flattering way. I am 5'2" and 163lbs and picked up a Medium. With 2" heels these are the perfect length for me.

NOT COTTON! NO ZIPPER!

I chose these especially because these are listed as 100% Cotton. Actual material is 75% polyester, 21% rayon, 4% elastane. I was looking for cotton pants, but these are stretchy like leggings, work-out-pants and have no pockets, which I like very much. Also NO ZIPPER CLOSURE! The fabric is thick and sturdy, but I would not have picked this with that material mix. The split pant legs look interesting and peppy. Casual wear, maybe…? They are big and long. I did use the Size Chart, but they are huge. When you order these; size down!

Really big

This might be my fault because I just ordered my standard size instead of really paying close attention to the sizing chart. But I ordered a XL because that is the typical size that I wear, whenever I put these on I instantly knew these were way too big. I can still wear them, but they do not fit around my legs like I would hope. Pay attention to the sizing chart when you order these and maybe size down! other than that, they are really good quality.

Pocketless leggins…not pants!

The title of these say “ponte pants” (perhaps indicating slacks?) but these are straight up leggins. I’m a solid U.S. ladies 14/16 in jeans in slacks so I ordered these in a XL. They are very form fitted…there’s definitely no slack or additional fabric, and they fit like leggins or running tights, so much so you can see my underwear line. That said, they did fit—I didn’t have to yank to get them on. They have NO pockets in back or on the sides. And they’re rather itchy for being poly/rayon/spandex mix. The inseam of the XL was about 32” and the slit or split seam at each ankle was approximately 10”. I’m 5’9” and they touched the ground with flats but an elevated heel made them a bit better (see pics). All in all I was disappointed because I was hoping for more pants and less leggins. I’d wear these with a tunic or long sweater/cardi but the lack of pockets is a real bummer!

Cute pants

These pants are comfortable and cute. The are a bit long, but I am a bit short so that is to be expected. The pants are flattering, I like the seam down the center of the leg and the split at then hem. After hemming, these pants will get a lot of wear.
