More like close fitting sweat pants, runs small

I was excited to try these ponte leggings as I had never heard of them before. Before I critique them I want to mention that I do really like these as pants they’re just not the best leggings. I ordered an XL which according to the size chart was 1-2 sizes up. I’m currently 5’7” and about 200lbs and a size 12. When I first put them on they felt loose in the crotch as well as the lower legs/ankles. Unlike other leggings they didn’t have enough stretch to stay close in those areas. The waistband though still felt pretty tight. The waistband is a very strong elastic and when I would bend over or sit it would kind of hurt my stomach from digging in a bit. It did loosen slightly through the day but so did everything else. So by end of the day these were quite baggy in the crotch and knees. One big plus that I did notice though is that the waistband stayed up with very little adjusting throughout the day. I have love handles and a smaller waist and struggle with almost all leggings Roling or just shimmying down and these didn’t do that. I found myself pulling them up a couple times throughout the day but none of the jump tugging and constant adjustment like to run into with tons of other leggings even with high waists. The material is a thicker firmer material than most leggings which is great for hiding any sort of panty lines. The material hasn’t started to pill in between my legs or anything either. After washing and drying these did shrink a little bit still fit ok. The shrinkage actually helped the bagginess quite a bit but they do still loosen a bit by end of day. There is also only a seam down the inside of the legs and not on the outside which gives a cleaner look. They’re plenty long too which I often run into leggings being too short. Overall I actually really like these as casual pants for cooler months. I do wish they had pockets but I’m just thrilled to have a pair of comfy but nice looking pants/leggings that I’m not constantly tugging at and I would recommend them as more of a close fitting sweat pant.

Best if you are tall

These leggings are good but nowhere near my favorite. Pros: these are super thick and really stretchy. The green color is vibrant but not bright. The waistbad does a good job holding them up. Fit true to size. Cons: sagging around the inner thigs and pelvis, just fits strangely. LONG. I'm 5'3 and I have inches of bunching around my ankles.

Very thick, fit is a little strange

Definitely not athletic leggings (like the photo makes you think). Really nice thick ponte leggings that can pass as a dressier pant. Very comfortable but not compressive. I felt like they ran a touch large for my usual XL. (5’2”, 175lb).

Thick leggings

Very thick leggings. They feel a bit baggy almost around the waistband, but theyre not. Waistband is thick and can twist or roll. I'm always worried they’ll slip down a bit while i'm working out, but they haven't. Just give the feeling that they will. Some leggings are a bit difficult to pull all the way up and makes you feel like theres too much space between your crotch and the crotch of the pants and these feel that way to me. Just not enough elasticity in the pants (maybe because they're so thick) compared to typical leggings.

Formal, Dressy Leggings

I got this for my daughter-in-law, and the following is her review: These are different from your average workout leggings, as they are a much thicker material that appears more stylish and of higher quality. They feel great and are very stretchy and comfortable. The leggings are meant for casual outings versus workout leggings, as they look fantastic paired with a simple blouse or sweater. Due to the material's thickness, they are warmer and better suited for colder weather. As far as length, they run on the shorter side, and I wish they were a bit longer. For the price point, they are good quality leggings; my only complaint is that they run short.

High Quality Ponte Leggings!

I'll be honest, I had to look up what "ponte" leggings were... They're meant to be comfortable like athletic leggings but with thicker, more substantial fabric. These exactly meet that description! The band on these leggings is more like a thick elastic band than a traditional legging might have. They remind me of pull on pants that more mature ladies might wear, but they have a modern cut. I ordered a large, but these are more loose than I expected and don't hug every curve. These feel like dress up leggings, if that's a thing... Maybe work appropriate leggings? These are lovely, high quality leggings that are made of a thick material. I don't think that I would ever exercise or lounge in these, but they'd be great for wearing out in the world. Enjoy!

Thick waistband

I ordered size XL, thinking it was coming from that place that everything runs small...and it was of course, too large. VERY large. I'm 5"2, 150lbs and the waistband swallowed me by about 3 inches gap. I'm not sure a Large would fit either. For the price, I'm tempted to see. However, from this pair, I don't think I would like them anyway. The pants themselves are of good material, but the waistband is SO thick. The elastic is a good 2.5 inches wide. Not attractive or comfortable. While trying on, the elastic got twisted in the band. I fixed it, but I would imagine that after washing it would be a never-ending battle to keep straight.

Dressy Leggings

I have to admit… I ordered these thinking they were workout leggings based on how the product photo depicted them. Even the colors available led me to believe these were for working out. When they arrived, I was very surprised to see that the material was similar to that of my dressier leggings which I pair with riding boots and a cute blouse… not to hit the gym in. These have a nice thick waist band and are a good quality material. I like the color of blue that I ordered, but would have ordered black had I known what I would be using these for. Would reorder to wear with boots/blouse but not for the tennis show/ workout look.
