Immediately hike ready - did NOT size up

I usually wear a 7 for sneakers (6.5 for heels), and have a normal to high arch with neutral alignment. Bought these in a 7 after reading reviews and immediately wore them to hike in the Saguaro National Park without any blisters or rubbing. Also hiked the Grand Canyon two weeks later with microspikes over these and was extremely happy with how rugged but lightweight they were. I tried some VERY expensive Danner/Oboz boots in REI and these felt a million times more comfortable, even though I honestly wanted the others just for appearance. I usually hike mountains in sneakers but needed something warm, so feeling like my ankle wasn’t locked in place was a must. They’re supportive but flexible and I’m really happy I went with these, already helped make some great memories!

These boots are waterproof and highly functional, great for my ankles. I wear them with skirts look so cute.

I found it annoying, but worthwhile to be able to find shoes ...

I'm not sure if it's Amazon who sizes these or Columbia, but I have yet to meet a woman who couldn't agree that no matter what a woman wears, every brand fits differently. Apparently we don't have a right to have a size to just find out and stick with across brands. Not that that's news to anyone. It's either pick a brand and stick with it or just constantly have to try on everything. Well, buying on line it not woman friendly (normally, but more on that later). I've had to return 3 pairs of shoes. One that I bought in my "usual" boot "size" going a half size up per instruction from the seller because of the insulator built inside the shoe. That was a different brand. They were massive. The other's were two of these Columbia's, where I went with the website description for sizes and have now returned two. Meanwhile, try finding a practical pair of shoes for a girl that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I'm giving this item four stars. One less only because the description for sizes, which says I'm a 6.5 which I've never been except occasionally (and I mean very occasionally) for an extremely dainty lady shoes. Going with my standard 7 for average every day shoes, to a 7.5. I bought a whole size up from what the website described. The other four stars are a mark for quality, which Columbia aspires to have, price, and as a humongous and much needed thank you for your free returns on many items found under the Prime name. What's a girl to do? I found it annoying, but worthwhile to be able to find shoes that were actually useful for a woman, and not have to worry that I would be stuck a. with shoes that were the wrong size or b. paying shipping 3+ times until I could find the right size. It seems like a waste of recourses, was my only complaint. But a mother who works can really appreciate the help. Thank you Amazon/Columbia!

Very Pleased With My Purchase

These shoes have been a really good purchase for me. They fit and they are comfortable. They are a bit stiff when I first put them on, then once they warm up they are pliable and very comfortable. The soles are stiff enough to handle rocky trails but are not too stiff to walk on the sidewalk. Great purchase. I'd buy them again if needed.

Great Value

I love these boots. The first day I wore them I took them on what was supposed to be a short day hike but we suddenly got ambitious and wound up hiking around 13 miles. I honestly did not think about my feet at all- a true testament to these boots! I'm usually a true size 7 and size 7 for these fit perfectly. Since that first day, they have been on several 10+ mile hiking trips with me and have held up well. I also wore them as snow boots over the course of a couple days this winter and they did fine in the snow too. I've walked through some shallow puddles and creeks but not deep enough to really tell how waterproof they are. My only complaint about these is that it is difficult to tightly lace them all the way up through the ankle. This doesn't bother me much but for someone looking for a high degree of ankle support you might run into some challenges. I love them though and fully recommend them- plus you can't beat the price.

Great for staying dry but will get too hot

I bought these shoes to volunteer at a zoo and they have been wonderful. I do a lot of hosing and trudging through tall dewey grass and my feet have never been wet. The toe pinch was a little uncomfortable but that was only for a few days until I broke them in. One thing though, these shoes get REALLY hot if you leave your feet in direct sunlight. I’ve only experienced it once or twice and it was bad. I don’t recommend these for dry/hot climates. Also the inside does get pretty smelly but that could just be me lol. Overall an awesome shoe.

Great Shoe

I’m a size seven, borderline 7w. I ordered a 7 and they fit great. The toe box is ample, they support my ankle, and they’re—holy crap—waterproof enough to wade a stream. I’d definitely buy them again.

Pedí un color, luego el producto en pedidos cambió a otro, marrón, y finalmente me llegó negro...... tirón de orejas a Amazon. Como fue un regalo la destinataria no lo va a cambiar. Por lo demás , parecen unas buenas botas a buen precio. La talla la esperada.

Super hiking boots

So happy with this purchase: the boots are super comfortable, lightweight, warm and waterproof- tried and tested by long walks and a cold and rainy Scotch weather. Highly recommended. I’d recommend to order 1 size larger than your current size

Not waterproof

Bought these for my wife to walk the dog. They’re are comfortable straight out the box but a big minus which defeats the purpose of having these kind of boots is that they’re not waterproof, even just walking in wet grass.

Cracked within two hours of wearing

I was actually pretty excited to get these hikers, they are comfortable. But not suited for hiking. Maybe walking trails. Be lucky to get these through one season. Not the best for the price. I am a 7 & ordered a 7. They fit true to size. Disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend for a real hiker.

Strong & Comfortable

These boots combined a strongly made, robust exterior with the comfort required for long periods of walking/wear. They fit very well and are standing up well to the rigors of frequent wear. They do clean fairly well and the soles give the required amount of grip, whilst 'encasing' the ankles to good effect - providing the support needed.
