Consider getting a size up. As this one is just too exact and would give room for thin socks only

The leather is very stiff and caused some blisters in the heel side at first use but after afew days, it's not perfect. Comfy and warm. Just wish ot were wider given that it has shearling, so that I can wear thicker socks.

My favorite easy boots

I bought a pair of these three years ago in black and absolutely love them so when I saw them in brown I snatched them up. They're comfortable, warm, easy to get on and off, only get more comfortable with wear and they're great in wet and cold weather. I've walked on the beach in winter in them and stayed dry and toasty. They're also easy to clean. The laces have a tendency to come unlaced so double knot them and forget them because You'll be using the side zip to get them on and off anyway.

Great sneakers for colder days

I wanted a pair of waterproof, insulated, good tread shoes to supplement my snow boots. These sneakers meet that need in almost all aspects. On the plus side, they have great arch support and good tread, and are super cute, with soft leather in a great color (I got cashmere). The only negatives for me are they rub just a tiny bit on the side of heel and they weren't as warm as I planned for them to be! I anticipate the rubbing will go away once they are broke in a bit and it certainly isn't anything that's causing pain or blisters. The rubbing is why I gave them four stars, but I'd give them 4.5 starts if that was an option. As for warmth, I was expecting them to be as warm as my snow boots, which isn't realistic because my snow boots have about a 1" sole and these are sneakers, so right on the ground. They will be sufficiently warm on days when it's not zero degrees with fresh snow on the ground! And did I mention they are super cute?

Successful choice was made, informed by the reviews, and I am very happy with my new boots

Everyone said we had to size up, and for a while my size was not available. I was frustrated, because I really wanted these shoes. I love Ecco shoes, they really work very well for me. In this case, I loved the dark mauve color and really wanted a warmer pair of shoes suited to the climate I am now living in. Then, all of a sudden one pair showed up on the amazon website that could work for me. 2 sizes up! The day it arrived I had to make a decision of whether to walk out in the rain with it or wait, in case I needed to return it. But one and a half sizes up (I often wear a 37 or, for boots a 38 European size, and this is 39) it felt so comfortable and right, that I walked out in the rain trusting I finally had the right pair of shoes. They protected me, they look great, and the suede did not take too long to dry.

Would go half size up

Received this and it was a beautiful leather, I was looking for a functional/fashionable winter boot. I like that it was waterproof and has a warm fleecy lining but my normal size feels too small with a winter sock on so I’m returning. I would half size up if you want to wear thicker socks with this one.

Small. Zippers difficult to operate. Wore first time for 2 km walk with no pain.

First of all, let me say that I don't love these. If they weren't such a good price, I wouldn't even keep them. Ecco says ln their website that they 're designed to be worn year-round. Well, my feet were getting hot in them at 8 degrees celcius. I got them to wear in spring slush and summer thunderstorms, something we have daily around here. These aren't going to work for that. They fit small. I'm a size 9, narrow width. I can put my foot on the size 9 insole outside the shoe and it fits. But with my foot in the size 9 shoe, the boot feels short. I do not know why. The size 10 is much more comfortable, despite the fact that when i put my foot on its insole outside the shoe, it seems too long. On the plus side, I wore them on a 2 km walk with no pain. That is a marvel for me. My feet don't like most shoes. I went for that walk with the zippers only partially done up, because I gave up fighting with them. It was neither raining nor snowing. If it had been, those open zippers might have been a problem. Update: I am fixing my stupid spelling mistakes and upping my rating on these by a star because they really are comfortable to walk in. The left zipper has loosened up to the point where I can zip it up half the time. They look really long on my feet. That's because they are long. Anyway, they're growing on me.

Great boots at a great price

I am UK size 4-4.5 and these boots fit fine. They are very comfortable so far wearing them in the house just to break them in but I don't think they need breaking in as so far they feel very soft/flexible and comfortable. You need to loosen the laces to your level of comfort. Lovely colour cashmere but giving 4 stars because slight rub mark on front of boots nothing serious which will go once I have the right product. They seemed an oiled finish so will show any scratches, scuffs etc but \i guess that is part of the charm. Not sure which nourisher/conditioner/protector to get to revive colour etc. so have written to ECCO but they haven't answered as yet.
