Just what I needed
Thank you Amazon for coming through for me with this bed frame! My apartment burned down 6 months ago and my family and I finally got a new place. I received donations from the Red Cross and they gave me a gift certificate from Bobs Discount Furniture. I went and purchased a new mattress and a bed frame with this certificate. Well I’m still waiting for the frame to come and I ordered it on December 7th, 2022. I recently filed a BBB complaint because Bobs furniture is nothing but a dishonest company! They donated money in the form of a gift certificate only to play games with a customer who just lost everything they worked hard for for the past 12 years. I had torn ligaments in my knee trying to get out of the apartment fire and I haven’t been able to walk very well since. My Drs told me that it needs time to heal and I need to stay off of my leg as much as possible. Bobs furniture made sure that I was sleeping on my new apartment floor since December 7th. Instead of just telling me in the beginning that the frame I purchased was discontinued and not being manufactured anymore they continued to just lie repeatedly and every single customer service representative had a different story every time I contacted them to find out when my frame was being shipped out. I told them that I lost everything in an apartment fire and that sleeping on my brand new mattress on a floor with torn ligaments in my knee was making my recovery non- existent because trying to pick yourself up from the floor off of a mattress at my age (52) with major health problems was nearly impossible. So needless to say, I have completely re- injured my leg and need surgery now because of the constant weight and pressure of picking myself up off the mattress on the floor caused major damage to the knee ligaments. Bobs furniture did nothing to help me except promise a store credit after I found out that I’ve been lied to for three weeks. Thank you to the customer service representative that found it in their heart not to continue to lie to me. I’m still waiting on my store credit because they keep telling me that I have to wait until my full refund is returned to my account?? I purchased this frame December 7th and today is January 4th. Bobs is telling me that it takes this long to credit a refund back to my bobs account so I can then order a different brand frame. Do yourself a favor and STAY CLEAR AWAY FROM BOBS DISCOUNT FURNITURE! I received a gift certificate from them which I’m incredibly grateful for, but the attached aggravation that goes with it is definitely not worth the added misery after losing everything my family owned including almost our lives in a devastating apartment building fire. After doing research on Bobs Discount Furniture they currently have over 5000 complaints against them and only a little over 500 of those complaints resolved to the customers satisfaction. How despicable these facts are considering they supposedly care so much about our problems in the community. About social justice and the need to help low income people. In my opinion, this is the reason for their charitable contributions; it’s a smokescreen for their disgusting behavior! I went on to finally tell this woman I spoke to from Bobs that if they couldn’t ship out the frame ASAP after waiting three weeks and being told nothing but lies continuously that I was going to order from Amazon. She proceeded to tell me “ go right ahead and get yourself another frame from Amazon if you don’t want to wait!” I was like okay that’s exactly what I’m planning on doing because this is absolutely unrealistic that a customer has to be treated like a non- human being and that Im sleeping on the floor like I'm a dog or a cat ( it’s actually really sad because my cat has a much better bed than I do at that time because I made sure my cat has nothing but the best) Amazon came through within 2 days with a frame that was much cheaper in price and much better quality than Bobs frame that sell for $139.99 and then when I found out that this one was discontinued that a replacement frame would cost another $30.00 more considering I was using gift certificate that was donated from Bobs to people less fortunate but they wanted me to give them another $30.00 in total for a grand total of $169.99 for a different model frame that Amazon sells for less than $80.00 used!! Sorry for my long winded review, but the moral of this story is: STAY AWAY FROM BOBS DISCOUNT FURNITURE AND GIVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO AMAZON A COMPANY THAT TRULY CARES ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS! Bottom line: a company isn’t a company without good customers returning to your store to buy products from you! If you cannot treat customers right then go find another profession because customer service is very important to a company that needs the money that customers spend in order to stay in business, is it too much to ask then to keep your promise and if not make it right by your customers and put a smile on their faces! It’s not worth a dime to lie and cheat someone like my family after being displaced by fire! Thank you for your donation you gave us I didn’t need any more disappointments!! Thank you Amazon I’m so grateful for your company and the fact that you are honest with your customers and will go to any length to please your customers! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AMAZON ????????????????

Awesome storage for apartment living!
*disclaimer* I live in an apartment, if you do too, you've found the right review! Lemme start by saying, my S.O. and I had our mattress on the floor for the first 3 weeks of moving in to our new place. This meant our brand new sheets, comforter, and a few throw pillows, often frequented the floor; they all picked up dust, dirt, cat hair, etc., the usual day to day messes of life. Stepped on, slipped on, you name it, it probably happened. If you're in this boat, you know, it can be a little frustrating. I told myself I'd build a box spring, buy a nice bedframe with a headboard, do this right... That was 2.5 weeks after telling myself it would be worth it, looking in local shops for pre built box springs and seeing them for no less than $100, and almost $200 after delivery + taxes. Well, since I'm here I guess you can imagine how that went. With work, trying to make the apartment feel like home, constantly cleaning and trying to maintain a social life, and without really your own front yard to do the whole building thing, the idea just became a faint whisper. It was around this time I also noticed the closets were a bit cluttered too, but I just told myself, "this was apartment living" One night, I decided to come to amazon to see if they sell box springs. To my absolute distrust and hesitation, I clicked through some reviews of this platform bedframe. It seemed pretty promising, but some reviews had a couple issues with broken parts and said it felt uncomfortable. I decided to roll the Amazon dice and purchase the platform bedframe. 3 days rolled by and it came, shipped to my apartment and dropped off with a loud "thud" on the front door. The package was heavy and I guess the delivery guy was frustrated from my place being such a frequent stop for him with heavy packages. "Great..." I said, hoping no damage had occurred. The box was pretty beat up too. I opened it, assembled it (took about 5 minutes of finger tightening wing nuts btw) and plopped the mattress up on it. Thankfully it seemed to survive it's rough journey from the warehouse to my place, I noticed two things immediately: 1.) This was the answer to making the bedroom feel more like a home 2.) There is a ridiculous amount of storage underneath the bed that simply isn't allowed for in closets. I stuffed as many rarely-used items under the bed as I possibly could, which allowed me to straighten up the closets. I even made room to keep the box to the frame in there, just in case the S.O. didn't like it and we had to send it back. She came home and also instantly appreciated the look and feel of the bedroom. Needless to say, we did some investigation to see just how loud and sturdy the bedframe is. It's silent, and unmoving! ;) I threw the box out after 2 nights of sleeping on the bed, confident in my purchase and ready to guide other potential customers with a humongous review on why they should also take the plunge and try it. It seriously is the perfect bedframe for an apartment. You'll be glad you tried it!

Best metal frame I've ever bought
I bought a double size frame in 2017 for my daughter, it still looks brand new. I love everything about this frame from how even I can put it together, it lasts, I love the fact when you do not need it or have to move it, the frame just folds right up and isn't heavy to move at all yet this is very strong and sturdy! And the fact I don't need to buy a mattress box helps. I am so impressed that I am buying a queen size frame and told my adult daughter to buy them for all 4 of her children (under age 10) plus get herself one. I am positive most children can not break these frames (or at least easily). It is difficult to find quality yet affordable bed frames. My daughter has tried 3 different brands and all were difficult to put together, heavy and all broke very easily (kids jumping on beds). I will absolutely recommend these amazing bed frames to everyone who is in the market for a new bed frame !!

Exceeded my expectations and then some
This bed frame is great! After pricing out a new box spring and finding out they're kind of expensive, I started looking at other cost effective options. I stumbled across this bedframe and for the price I wasn't expecting top tier quality but I can say I was proven wrong. Product is packaged well, very professional. Set up takes 5-10 minutes and very easy to figure out. I was afraid this bedframe would be noisy, similar to a futon where the metal clicks and pops, however this frame is so solid especially with the rubber feet on the supports it makes no noise at all when moving on the bed. The height is great, and the ability to have storage under the bed is a huge plus well. The frame also provides enough support that the mattress is well supported and doesn't feel like it will sag. I was also worried given how light the frame is, sitting on the edge would cause the frame to tip but because of its design, the support legs keep this thing planted firm. Great product honestly, I would purchase again for sure.

Easy, sturdy, compact, great storage
Easily set up in about 10 minutes by 2 middle-aged women who didn't want to put their glasses on to read the instructions. I found that the diagonal support pieces (that you have to swing into place and then tighten the wing-nuts on) were a bit stubborn - they seemed very tight and then suddenly snapped in place. We made sure everything was snug before we put the mattress in place. I've been using it for a month now, no creaking and it feels sturdy. My only issue is that I wish the clearance was a bit higher. The 18" model was about twice the price for the extra 2" height, so I decided to try this. The 18" would have allowed me to use my existing Rubbermaid 68L totes; instead, I made a trip to a local store and bought 2 kinds of Sterilite totes, alternating the 2 different lengths and widths, to use all the space underneath. Even these were a bit tight at the top, so I added rubber furniture cups under the legs, and that gave me just enough room so it doesn't grab at the top. Solved!

Easy to attach and remove. Lots of height options and compatible to other brands
Pros: Reviewing these after a year of use. I just got back to reviewing this as I just had to recently disassemble my Zinus headboard and mattress frame. So easy to install and remove. Those multiple holes you see in the picture is because there's numerous ways you can connect your headboard to the frame just in case you're pairing this with non-Zinus brands. You don't have to worry about the headboard being too low from standing on the floor, this can help mount the board higher if you wanted. I make sure I don't lose the the screws included but they are the generic ones you can easily buy at the hardware store. Cons: None so far

Meets all the manufacturer's claims
EDIT 2: Feb 2019 I've had this frame for well over a year at this point, and it's still fantastic. I've moved, and disassembly/reassembly literally takes seconds. Still as sturdy (and COMPLETELY SILENT) as the day I bought it. However! The price has nearly doubled! I purchased this frame at something like $110 taxes in. Now I see it being sold for $200?!?! Do I recommend it? YES! Would I have paid $200? Not a chance. I would be looking at Zinus' own website, or find some other supplier if the price is this high on Amazon. This frame is awesome, and 100% worth having, but wow, the price doubling is not cool in my opinion. EDIT: 3 Months After Purchase Still no issues. Its still solid, it's still silent. Really glad I bought this frame. I may make a headboard or something when I have more room, but for now it meets all my needs and I love it. I just put this frame together, and I have to say, the reviews seem accurate so far! It takes 10-15 minutes to assemble by yourself, maybe less if you have a friend to help. Although the legs already have rubber caps, I placed them on rubber glides for extra support on my hardwood floor, and so far it feels sturdy and makes absolutely no noise at all. My only small complaint is that there was no hex key included in the package to help you tighten the bolts holding the two halves of the frame together, but since I have plenty of tools, it was really a non issue for me. There's plenty of space beneath for storage, and so far I'm very happy with my purchase. Obviously, if I have any troubles, I'll come back and update this review, but for now, in terms of meeting the product's claims, value for money, and ease of assembly, I feel this frame deserves the full 5 stars!

It's nice to be so high off the ground. Feels like it really calls for a normal thickness matress.
I bought the twin. The recessed leg is very nice and the base feels very stable. When using my regular foam 2" Trifold the round bar support for the mattress can be felt when I roll and I'm only 180lbs. The support bars all bend a little and it seems like it would be stressed to failure over time. Without a normal thickness mattress I would not kneel on the bed or even roll over. So I cut up the box and put it under the mattress for support. Doing so gives me confidence in it's strength before my new mattress comes. For convenience of folding it, I will probably semi-permanently attach some sort of stiff board with zip ties to make the product last longer without worry. In summery it's very light and easy to setup. It's sturdy nice and high. It's a good price. It's very quiet on it's own and seems strong enough to last it's worth. But for longevity with thin mattresses I would consider from the start reinforcing it with a board to spread out the weight across the mattress support bars.
