Kind of awkward looking bulb top

Lots to love about this lamp. It is tall, has a fairly narrow base, and is fairly sturdy. The glass top is just a bit awkwardly large. I thought it would be slightly smaller and more elegant but it just looks so big. The Illuminator piece is also an awkward string. So 10/10 for construction, but 5/10 for style. Very, very easy to assemble

Surprisingly sturdy plus stylish

The lamp comes in a small box with an absurd amount of Styrofoam packaging...but undamaged. The pole screws together in four sections with well blended joints. A person needs to look closely to see it is not a single length of pole. Even though I knew it would be six feet tall when assembled, its height is imposing. The base is heavy, insuring against toppling over. We are using it in a dimly lit corner of the hall but it could also add significant light to a large room. We sized down from a 100 watt equivalent bulb to 60 watt equivalent because of the brightness. The glass shade is of high quality. The braided nylon pull cord functions smoothly. No negatives to mention.
