Well made, comfortable casual shirt.

This button-down casual shirt is well made and comfortable. It's made in Sri Lanka and I've not had anything but good experiences with their cotton garments. I got the navy blue one and I like the color. The material is 96% cotton and 4% man made materials for a little elasticity. It's definitely a lighter material and suitable for three seasons (with a long sleeve tee or turtleneck, it would even work in the winter. The shirt is classically cut so it will give a good fit even for those of us with a few extra pounds. It features two chest pockets with button-down flaps. It'll make a decent work shirt for all but the most strenuous applications. The cuffs feature double buttons to fit small and large wrists. I haven't noted any bad stitching or stray threads. It gives the immediate impression of a well made cotton shirt. The only negatives I can see are the lack of a button down collar and it will need ironed. Other than those two things, I'm very pleased with the cut, the material and the quality of the shirt.

Great fit

This shirt fits well on me. It looks well made with nice threads and buttons. The material is soft and feel cool so I would believe it’ll be good to wear in summer as well. It can be dress up or down, very easy to style especially with the neutral color. The price is fair and I hope it will last a long time. I took one star off due to the weir smell it came with in the package..

A touch small, but very comfortable.

This is a good shirt, though it runs small especially in the arms. I personally like how well it breaths. I saw no issues with stray stitching or bad stiches. The buttons are good, not sure if they are actually metal but they are sturdy feeling and look metallic. The metal could be just applied to a solidly formed button. Outside of size being a touch small in the sleeve, and maybe the pockets being a bit lower than I like, it is a good shirt that I have added to my shirt rotation.

Good fit, good material, might need pressed

At 155lb 5’10”, Med fit is as expected The material is light and comfortable, at a reasonable price. Pic is after washing/drying once. Promptly removed from dryer, not too many wrinkles but the corners of the pockets turned up, so will likely need to be pressed at some point.

So flattering

This is such a nice, flattering shirt in a beautiful color! My husband wears it to work regularly, and says that it’s both lightweight and comfortable. He also really likes that the pockets button, and that he can freely more his arms (it’s not right around the chest or shoulders). Also it the sleeves are long enough for his very long arms! I can say that I think he looks very handsome in it!

Good heavy, warm winter shirt - excellent as outerwear over tees or polo shirts.

Although it is a slim fit shirt, this item is big and roomy. It fits nicely, and wears well over a tee or poloshirt, so its good both as a standalone outer shirt, or as a secondary shirt on cooler days. The fabric it thick and warm, and the buttons are all tightly sewn and functional. The two chest pockets are roomy and great for a cellphone or wallet. The color is deep and rich, and looks unlikely to fade - this is a shirt that will look good for a long time!

Review of Goodthreads Men's Slim-Fit Long-Sleeve Two-Pocket Utility Shirt -Clay color. During the winter and fall months around the house I wear a long sleeve shirt over short sleeve T shirts or long sleeve Merino wool shirts on colder days. I selected this shirt to act as one of those overshirts. I like the utility functions of having two pockets. I selected a XL Tall. I like that these come in a tall option. This size (XLT) has longer sleeves and longer tails than a typical long sleeve shirt. The sleeves are a bit tighter than I would expect for an XL. I’m 6’-2” about 170 lbs; the lengths are slightly long on me, but with the high percentage of cotton I suspect they will shrink some. I think the sizes run true to size. I like the color. I got the clay, it’s a complex color, sort of a pale reddish brown, like clay, as the color name describes. The stitching is well done, no loose threads that I can see. The material feels nice, it’s lighter weight than I expected, but it’s a dense, soft, sort of broadcloth fabric and will make a good weight for the warmer winter days. The buttons are stylish and the overall look of the shirt is casual. The fold wrinkles are dropping out as I wear it, so I am hopeful that wrinkles won’t be too much of a problem. I like the shirt.
