You may not need it for lawn tractor maintenance
I purchased this tool to use for an oil filter change on my lawn tractor (2006 Husquvarna YTH2246). I found that my hands are small enough that I didn't really need this tool, and since you're only supposed to hand-tighten the filter and I was able to free the old one without the tool, this wasn't something I needed to buy. Despite that fact, I think this tool will come in handy for tough jar tops and similar in the future. The grips are comfortable, and the metal quality is good which should provide years of use. I think if you need one, it's probably a good choice as it's comfortable to hold and sturdy enough for the job at hand.

Careful not to crush the filter. I personally prefer the band style wrench because the pressure applied is distributed more fully. This provides only a few points of contact on the filter and you can easily start to crush or rip the filter. I know you can damage the filter your removing since it’s going in the trash. It’s still not fun when you can’t remove the filter because it’s integrity is compromised and you can’t get torque on it.

Perfect
I use the product for tieing rebar for concrete work and the product is perfect. Not only do they fit nicely and comfortably in my hand, and the spring loaded makes for a quick and easy job, but they look good and everyone asks to see them and are not afraid to ask to use them lol.i recommended the product to co-workers and anyone else looking for a good pair of linesmen pliers.
