Why 3/8" ?

The price was right and it arrived in just a couple of days, but to my surprise the fittings were not 1/2" compression threads, but 3/8" compression threads. I did not know the difference between compression threads and NPT (but now I do), so I ordered a 1/2" to 3/8" reducer in NPT. Of course it didn't work. So, I had to send it back and went into Home Depot with the faucet and the flex tubing I was trying to match to, and they gave me exactly what I needed. What I thought was going to be a one day install ended up 4 days. I believe the manufacturer should have either made the fittings 1/2" (which has been standard for me for years) or include a reducer. After all the frustration, the faucet works very well and is rather attractive.

Nice faucet.

This a nice faucet. It looks good, and is very smooth and the faucet swivels really good. It was easy to install. But, my reason for four stars, is that the water spout is quite wobbly and we have had it a short time. However it does not leak anywhere. I do like the American Standard products. Newer posting. I figured out why this was so wobbly. Two screws on the bottom hold the cartridge and water spout in position. They were loose and needed to be tightened. I torqued them pretty good, so now the water spout does not turn right and left so easily, but I'll take that over the previous condition. I'm still leaving 4 stars as this probably shouldn't have happened. I had just installed it on Feb 9th, 2023. I would recommend the faucet, however.

No fuss

Basic sink, no bells or whistles and so far (1 month) works great! I will say the output is not as strong as my previous sink but that is fine. That could be due to installation (?). I am good with it either way. Basic usage: wash dishes, and fill the tea pot.

Base plate isn’t easy to fit due to limited tolerance length

Product works great and was easy to install, even though the base plate length could have been about an 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch longer.

quality faucet

Easy to install; I changed out my old faucet and installed the American Standard in 20 minutes. This faucet works great. I am very pleased.

good but not usable for me

did not completely describe the faucet connections. I wanted to install it but would have had to change out both shut off valves under sink to make hook up due to connection size.

Very nice faucet for the price. Only time will tell on durability.
