Anchor Hocking makes the best storage bowls--U.S.-made!
I have bought and still use several sets of Anchor-Hocking True-Seal glass storage bowls, and I love them. We have replaced all our plastic storage and freezer containers with these. This is the first time I have ordered a different type of Anchor-Hocking bowl--not True Seal, but the regular covers, in a one-cup size. I love the red! I noticed some reviewers complained the covers popped off; I have not had that experience. The covers are tight and don't leak; they work well for storing and/or freezing small amounts of soup, side dishes, etc. We seal the contents in the bowls and then put the bowls in plastic freezer bags (used, washed, reused several times), and there is never any frost buildup or freezer burn in or on the frozen food. I don't microwave food so I don't know how they microwave, and I transfer the contents into small containers for heating in the oven, so I can't speak for their ability to withstand heat either. But for refrigerator and freezer storage, they are great. They are high-quality, thick glass with rubbery plastic covers, and they wash very well. I love buying something made in this country and knowing that it is reliable and of superb quality.

Great product
So nice to use glass instead of plastic the melts in the microwave. I am trying to phase out my plastic containers, the brand is the best I have found so far.

I bough the "Style: 8-Piece Set | Size: 4 Cup" option, but I got 4, not 8. At least they are the right size (4 cups). The price is still better than my local supermarket, so I'll keep them, but it looks like this is happening to a lot of other buyers, so they should get their act together. They're good containers and it would be five stars if the listing was accurate.

these may be "second" quality
these bowls are not uniformly round at the top.... 2 of my 4 are slightly oval shaped and the lids pop off bc they don't fit ovals.. But they do heat will with a different cover... Buy only if you can tolerate this imperfection!

I ordered the 2, 4, 7 cup bowls and got 3 4-cup bowls.
Happy accident. Turns out I needed the 4 cup bowls for left overs so I prefer what I got even if it wasn't what I ordered. Bonus this was $1.00 cheaper than the 3 4-cup set. There was a tiny piece of glass that stands up on lip of one bowl. Doesn't prevent lid from sealing.

Anchor Hocking is the best!
Anchor Hocking is my favorite maker of glassware and containers. From my beautiful vintage ruby glass to the cup size containers I just bought, Anchor Hocking is sturdy, chip-free, and always comes in handy. I especially love how these single cup containers come with ruby red lids that match my vintage ruby glass perfectly! They’re absolutely perfect for serving tapas, condiments, clotted cream, or anything else that you might serve in small portions and pop in the fridge if there are leftovers. The lids are especially handy if you want to serve things outdoors but keep the bugs out. They’re SO handy!!!

I bought 4 more to add to the 6 I already had
I use for making batches of shepherds pie and pasta and meat sauce for freezing . I thaw in the fridge overnight and then pop them in the toaster oven for an instant meal.
