Beautiful Skirt, Great Quality, Runs Very Big

I typically wear a medium or a size 8 in pants and skirts, and sometimes I fit into a size 10. I purchased two sizes, an 8 and a 10 with plans to keep the size that fit best and to return the other. The size 8 fit like a size 12. When I held the skirts up next to each other, the size 8 was the same width in the waist as the size 10. I'm wondering if it were mislabeled. Either way, both skirts were incredibly too large. I'm returning both and will try to see if they have a size 6 and a size 4 for me to try. Very disappointed.
