Great for "tough" kids

I ordered these shorts for my 9 yr old grandson who is really tough on his clothes! This kid is always in motion and usually engaged in some type of sport! These shorts are great for him. They are made of a mostly nylon material, which makes them sturdy and quick dry! The fit is true to size, plus they have an elastic waist which is good for my skinny kid!! One of the pockets has a zipper, which is great for hiding "treasures." Can't find anything bad to say about these shorts. Hopefully, they last the whole summer season!

Perfect Shorts - Need More Colors!

Y'all! These shorts are absolutely fantastic for busy boys (or girls). It's rare as a mom to get excited about what are essentially basic garments, but these shorts deserve the distinction. There is not one quality I don't like and I cannot think what would make them better, short of an accompanying laundress. First, the fabric. It is that moisture-wicking stuff that is so great for when it's hot or you're hiking in a stream. There is also a fantastic amount of stretch to these, adding to that comfort. That stretch is included in the waistband, not that you need it there...These have the adjustable tabs to get the perfect fit for your kid. The 4 primary pockets (2 in front, 2 in back) are lined in that basketball jersey-type material, so if your kid stuffs a handful of wet rocks in his pocket (and that happens quite a bit in my household), it won't sit there and mildew. The bottom 2 cargo pockets are external. I only have one complaint about these: as they are the perfect shorts, in my opinion, I'd love them in expanded colors. My kid has to wear navy bottoms, and if these were available in navy - in both shorts and pants - I'd likely completely replace his entire uniform bottom collection. Please? Add navy?

Practical, everyday shorts

We ordered a size 7 for my six year-old son. The color is "dark denim" but they definitely don't look like denim. They definitely look like nylon. They're a navy blue with some red stitching, red tabs on the cargo pockets, and a red zipper on the back. The touch of red is fine, but I would have preferred it to be the same color as the shorts. The material of the shorts is stretchy, almost like a bathing suit material. The adjustable waistband is great because they were a little big on my son. The cargo pockets are great for him to carry around his LEGO people and other things 6 year-old boys carry.
