I love this stuff.
I thought about adding pictures to my review, but just couldn't bring myself to take pics and upload the mess I was faced with just a few hours ago. The back story: Two months ago we adopted a young lab from a shelter. Being a rescue dog, he had no previous house training. We knew what we were getting into, and have a full size carpet shampooer that we would bring out about once a week to do a thorough cleaning of the den carpets where accidents would happen. Now that he's house trained, and being gluttons for punishment, we decided a few days ago to rescue a second young lab so the two of them could grow up together. They bonded immediately, however we're back to house training again. Luckily our second rescue pup had a bit of potty training before we got him, but we're in the middle of transitioning him to a new dog food, and that's where today's challenge came. I left our two young labs at home while my daughter and I headed to the store for groceries. Since we would be gone only about an hour, and with both pups doing so well with house training, I figured they'd be okay and not be at risk of having any accidents, since both had just pottied right before I left. Oh how wrong I was. Our newest rescue pup has had some minor stomach upset while transitioning to his new food. Up to this point the biggest problem he was having was smelly gas that could peel the paint off the walls. But today....oh no not today. While I was at the grocery store, his gurgly tummy erupted into urgent loose stools. I was so proud of him that he chose to have his accident in on the bathroom tile floor. He'd never had this kind of accident before, and he could have chosen anywhere in the house to go. But he went on the tile floors...most of it anyway. See he's a walking pooer. And he had a lot of walking to do during this poo. After walking all over the bathroom floor, he moved to my bedroom with my brand new light grey carpeting. By the time I got home the smell was overwhelming. The previous paint peeling gas had nothing on this new toxic odor. Our pet lizard in the other room even looked grossed out. And I had someone stopping by the house for a visit in just 20 minutes to meet our newest family addition. After trying to clean up with a bottle of carpet cleaning 409 I had on hand, I remembered I had this new pet odor eliminator. I wasn't sure if it would just help with the smell, or actually work on the brown stains left behind. But I followed the directions and hoped for the best. I applied it liberally and waited about 3 minutes and then started scrubbing. Then applied again and did the same. The brown stains on my grey carpet lifted! And the smell, I couldn't believe anything would get rid of that smell. Usually pet odor products just mask it, giving the air a mixed smell of pet accident and carpet cleaner. But this spray has a very potent citrus smell, which seems to cut right through the odor rather then just add a layer to it. I couldn't believe how nicely it made my place smell in just a short period of time. So when our guest stopped by, she was greeted by the pups, rather than a wall of noxious odor. This stuff is awesome.

Great for use around the home and on car upolhstery. Nice, long lasting scent too.
This works for removing pet odors from homes, cars, etc. of those who typically clean on a regular basis. It smelled great and made a big difference when used in a one dog household. The scent left behind is clean and citrus-y. Not overpowering or just covering up the smell, but actually REMOVING the odor. You can tell it's got staying power too as you could still smell the 'clean' days later. I did give it a try in one of my brother's rental properties where, the cats of the recently evicted tenants, used the entire apartment as their toilet. Seriously, he had to replace the entire kitchen floor and subfloor because it was soaked in urine. In that EXTREME and uncommon scenario, we knew this product wasn't the right fit for that job because it was just too intense. BUT, we used it in the common area of the apartment building where you could smell some odor coming from that apartment (and likely because of people walking in and out of that place wearing urine scented shoes) and this spray DID make a difference there. Not necessarily a 100% , but easily 80%. That's saying something because before, the smell hit you in the face as soon as you opened the door to that common area (gross, i know). So to notice any improvement at all from a product that is NOT industrial strength, is commendable. This product is great and the appropriate strength for use in your home and on car upolhstrey. I hope my humble opinion and experience has helped you in some way. Please be good to your animals and provide them with access to the proper facilities (i.e. a litter box) and the like. Not only is it better for their health and well being, but it also greatly improves the chances of getting your security deposit back ;) Thank you for reading.

Great For Dog Beds, Rugs And Blankies
Honest Paws Odor Eliminator is great if you are like us, and have multiple pets and multiple blankets/beds/rugs, etc. that are used daily. This citrus fresh scent helps freshen up the rugs and dog blankets without having to wash them daily. This is also good on well loved dog beds that are not easily tossed into the washer. It works ewually well for sofas and chairs that have a designated pet. I use this to freshen up high traffic pet areas because we have many animals so this product works pretty good to freshen things up-as does some of the other odor eater products, but this is made for pets so I would wager it’s a healthier spray to use on pet bedding and blankets. This freshens up the couch quite nicely when I clean I just give the area a few sprays. This doesn’t last forever, so the nice double bottle amount is sufficient to at least keep things fresh for several months.

The scent is not too strong
With a new puppy and two rooms that have not yet had the carpet removed, we've been using different sprays. (He still doesn't have the hang of it, and we've hung bells on the back doorknob.) It does the job, though, despite the fact that it says that it deters repeat pet marking, it doesn't work with him. It's not too strong, which I appreciate. I've been crawling on the carpet sniffing, and I'm not smelling urine or feces. Note: Be sure the cover is tight. I used it earlier, and the cover came off and the bottle fell on the carpet and spilled. Drat! (I'm not the one who set it up. It's not my fault.) Anyway, I used a lot of paper towels to soak it up and distributed them around the house in waste baskets and garbage cans. (Waste not, want not.) It says that it has a time-release formula, so we should be set for a while.
