What was disappointing with this set was the trolley did NOT come with it. Which cost quite a bit more. The Bachmann company said it was clearly marked on the front of the box - which is true but it is in FINE print which was NOT apparent in the Amazon listing for it. The seller seemed to know little about the product and markets a wide range of items. I think a couple more pieces of track would have been useful also. So far however this system has worked very well but the cats think it is a mouse type creature that should be chased so watch your cats.

Good product

Now that I got it working it's a perfect addition to my winter holiday display. Pay close attention to and make sure A goes to A and B goes to B. The track is marked on the bottom. Had a few issues with the connectors sliding off easily

Defective set

Defective, locomotive would not reverse as advertised. I had to return the track set for replacement.

Good little system but cannot be added to other N-scale

Works great with a Bachmann trolley bought separately. Fantastic with wife's' little Christmas village. Tracks cannot be added to other N-scale layouts, even Bachmann. Reversing track is not compatible with regular track. Not an issue for me but perhaps they should mention that up front. Cannot adjust stop time. It reverses every 2-3 seconds. I'd prefer to make it wait longer. The "B-B" track at the end of each run doesn't seem to be needed. The trolley stops after the nearly invisible track gap in the A-B track, which leaves a 6" opening before the bumper. I removed the "B-B" track sections and the train still reversed fine (this is against instructions). It gets real close to the bumper at top speed, but doesn't hit it. This is a great little train, I've done a lot of HO scale before and this is a good product.

Neat effect for train layout.

Works great. Had to delete the two regular tracks to get it to stop where I wanted it. Will buy more reversing track for a longer run. Neat addition to train layout.

Cool Trolly

Follow instructions for easy set up. Special auto reverse track is needed to expand the line. Regular track is not compatible.

sketchy, frustrated

After assembling the track correctly, it seems that (a) the bumpers are not energized. Problem? Not sure, since the controller is very finicky. The brand new bachman trolley I purchased seemed to work a couple of times (down then back) then get stuck at the original end. Been playing with this and now the controller is in the mode where the trolley goes one way (always the same) then stops. The trolley on some attempts (after unplugging controller, and restarting this) would go 6" (maybe 1 track or 1 and a half) in the "back" direction then stop and not move. Now it's in a mode where the trolley goes one way, then maybe nudges in the back direction. I never got the car to work on the full "B" sections. Just all A sections with the A/B tracks, then the Bumpers (B). I will call them on Monday and hope to either resolve or replace. But *at this moment* I am not impressed. Another note is the configuration is very limited due to the limited track supplied. update: exchanged for a new box... same issue. My bachman trolley will run in one direction, as soon as it hits the a/b track it stops and doesn't autoreverse. Followed directions, can anyone help?
