Great merchant to deal with!

Ordered it and thought it would not get here in time and wow! Here in less than 4 days plus came with merchant news letter on up coming sales and promotion's. If your child is a train "guru" this merchant is the place to go. Prices very reasonable!

Very Nice and Well Constructed

The media could not be loaded. My family rode on the North Pole Express out of Owosso and this was a perfect little train to run around our tree. I added the extra car with the trees on it. The engine is very strong so you can add extra cars if you wish. The heavy passenger cars are very well constructed with nice steel wheels. I was able to light the cars for an extra touch. We ran the train for several hours a day. Note: You will need longer couplers if you do any type of "S" curves as the passenger cars will bump.

Nice Christmas themed train

Train works. Track is fine. Train is kind of low quality for the price. Plastic could be designed/tooled better. Seems like every corner except price has been cut. Still, we like it and no issues from 5’ away....just up close when handling it.

Fun to have for Christmas, theme set up.

It's my first HO scale set, my first choice is O scale set. I had to adjust to the difficulty of putting the cars on the track other than that it's a decent starter set. The engine is the only thing that lights up, other than that is great Christmas theme set.

OK Starter Set

This is just OK as a starter set. It functions, but the quality is mediocre. I worry about long-term durability of the train, especially the couplers. They just don't make them like they used to...

Larger than expected

Train was beautiful. However, we wanted the train to go around our Christmas tree, and it was too large for the space we have available. The oval track didn’t meet our needs.

Not worth the price

Grandson opened Christmas morning the coal car was broken we put it together on a perfect level plywood table with a smooth surface and it would not stay on the tract or continue working for a full lap and would take a long time to get it back on the tract properly.But it was very easy to assemble would have been nice it it would have worked.
