dont recommend any longer
used to be great customer service and warranty. but my recent experience in my opinion is their quality and customer service just aren't what they used to be. Recently defective throw lasted a couple months and im given a hard time by customer service and since been sent to more defective products.

Quite good, bastante bien
I have used a Biddeford heated throw for several years. I keep the thermostat low in my home office and use the throw to get a little more heat. I usually have at setting 2 or 3 out of 6. It works just fine for me, and is soft and not too heavy. It usually gives out after a long time of use. I don’t get close to 5 years of use. Not sure but I think it is 1-3 years, and I’m happy with that. Early failure may be my fault for forgetting too many times to turn it off when leaving the office. Also, around the time it fails, it’s probably time to change to a fresh throw anyway. The replacement controller is almost as expensive as the throw so I just reorder a new throw. I have gotten it at the store before, but they no longer carry it.

I received this throw blanket on 9/28/2021. It stopped working on 11/10/2021. Apparently returns/refunds are only handled by Biddeford, not Amazon. Getting in touch with them has been next to impossible. They do not answer emails and their phones are only answered during limited hours (10 AM-6 PM M-F)). After waiting on hold for about 10 minutes, the customer service representative was helpful. I actually have 2 of these throws and she had me test the controller for the working throw on the faulty one. It worked for about 60 seconds, then stopped and I could smell something burning. Now I have 2 non-working blankets! They will send a replacement blanket when they receive the faulty one back and a new controller for my older throw. It seems like a lot of work for heated throw but, in their defense, my older throw was great until we tested the controller on the faulty throw. Update: The Biddeford folks never sent me a return label. They are almost impossible to reach by telephone and they do not answer emails. I have tried to call multiple times and I'm always put on hold for the next available representative - no matter what time of day that I call. Eventually they hang up on me after waiting on hold for 20-25 minutes. I am so frustrated with their customer service. I'll never purchase again but the blanket/throw only worked for 6 weeks and I feel ripped off. Also, the one time that I got through, I blew up the controller for the other blanket/throw that I own when I followed their instructions to test the working controller on the faulty blanket/throw. So now I have 2 blanket/throws that do not work and they should replace both BUT I CANNOT REACH A LIVE PERSON ON THEIR PHONE LINE AND THEY DO NOT ANSWER EMAILS. UPDATE - Biddeford customer service is definitely slow but they did replace my faulty heated throw & the controller for my other one. I received my new throw yesterday, 1/15/2022 - almost 2 months after they promised a replacement. The new controller came a few days after the new year. I know companies are having a difficult time hiring & keeping staff. Maybe that is the reason that it took so long for resolution. Anyway, I hope the new throw works longer than the one it replaced.

Living in New York my house is always chilly. This blanket on the highest setting gets you toasty and even sometimes makes me sweat! Perfect for people who are always cold on the couch or bed!

Wonderful product!! Excellent seller!!
I have back, neck and leg issues. Regular heating pads are not comfortable and don't cover enough. I do not like sleeping with heat, but I sit with this lovely throw every evening (sometimes during the day) watching tv/reading. It is lightweight, cozy, with just the right amount of heat, and the size (twin) is perfect! Even if you do not have muscular/skeletal issues, you will love this throw! So worth the cost!

Nice Blanket
Perfect for our use. Liked it predecessor, also a Bidde. The cord length is nice. Warms the bed nicely and it is easy to take off before you sleep.

This is my fifth purchase. Every time someone visits me or I take it to visit them, I end up giving it away and then I replace mine. The Biddeford company is so good to deal with! I do not want to go to bed without one????

very thin
the blanket does its job, but it is very thin and you can really feel the wires not nearly as comfortable as it looks but it does heat up nice almost to hot but i liked thay aspects of it.

Best brand for heated blankets
Over 20+ years of using heated blankets every winter, Biddeford is the best brand for 1. lasting the longest, and 2. ease of warranty repairs when required. I would never buy another brand, and I've had many in the past.

Purchased Oct 2021 and worked well. Stopped working Dec 2022. Very disappointing because it should work longer than 14 months.
