SO much better than other (affordable) Dutch ovens!

I never write product reviews, but I've been so pleased with the two BK items I've purchased that I'm breaking my silence. My previous Dutch oven was an AKS (Artisan Kitchen Supply) 6 qt. which despite very careful handling, started to almost immediately crack and chip. It worsened until I had to ditch it for safety reasons. I was looking for another 6 qt., and was worried the BK 7 qt. would be too large and heavy. I bought it anyway, since I LOVE my BK Black carbon steel skillet so much. Miraculously, the BK 7 qt. is about the same weight as the old 6 qt., and is less awkward to handle. It is a delight to cook with, and even fits in my undersized sink for cleaning. So far, no big sticking or staining, although it will probably stain in time. Great value. Highly recommended! I will definitely buy other BK products in the future.

Beautiful Dutch Oven

I've seen BK products around places like HomeGoods and they seemed to be good quality. I took a chance with they're dutch oven and I'm really impressed. Feels lighter than a Lodge but just as sturdy. Zero imperfections. I can see it lasting a long time as it should. If it's on sale for for it. I got my red 7qt for around $68

Color is not a s listed.

Beware the color is labeled as a “sunny yellow” but is actually a mustard yellow. Disappointed.

Nice Dutch oven

This is a pretty nice Dutch oven. I’ve made apple butter (with about 12 apples) and roasted a 4lb chicken since purchasing this. It is easy to clean and aside from a very small bubble of enamel near the rim, there are no other known imperfections. I only wish that the packaging told where this was made. Efforts to contact the manufacturer about this were not successful. But for the price of around $30, it’s a really good product regardless of where it was made.

large enough for two chickens plus veggies

i looked at all the options before choosing this one. a lot of the others were cheaper, but had chipping problems, according to the reviews. i like that this is one of the few dutch ovens NOT made in china, and that it seems (so far) to have all of the quality of a le creuset, (only one besides LC that's safe at 500 degrees F) at less than a third of the price. good heft, thick enamel, lid fits perfectly on the pot.

Use this a lot

I am amazed how much I’ve used this. It’s bigger than I had expected but not a problem as I’ve been making casseroles and winter soups that I freeze, in portions. It cleans well in that even caramelising onions for French Onion soup doesn’t mean I have to scrub it clean. Repeated use however does result in a staining build up to the interior that one can’t shift. But it still retains the easy clean surface. I’m think of buying a second smaller one.

Fabulous quality

I really wanted a pink high quality casserole dish that was big enough to make large casseroles and curry’s that my family could dip in to over a couple of days. This ticked all my boxes. The quality is the same as Le Cruset. It is high end cast iron, can go from hob to oven. It’s very large and the shade of pink is subtle not bright and garish. I’m so glad I bought this. It’s perfect. Best of all was the price!

Wonderful Dutch Oven

I have cooked several meals in this item now, and I must say it's its a first class addition to my kitchen. Everything cooked in it has come out perfectly, and I'm amazed at how easily it cleans up! Do yourself a favor and get one of these, you'll never regret it.

One needs to have completed a training course to increase strength in arms

Amazon delivered quickly -special thanks to the driver as this weighs very heavy. used to cooking with Le Creuset, but to save on costs went for this brand. The Colour is fab and so is the finish;) Struggling to lift it though. Will start keep fit course using lids from both pans recently purchased to build up biceps and all muscles in wrist etc. Weight lifting exercices. Will give a review when finished the course, strong enough to lift onto stove and made some recipes.
