Fantastic

I’m no gardener. I got this because I can’t even work the pruning shears I bought. I was even scared to turn it on. But this thing is magic. I didn’t realize HOW well it would work. I was about to pay someone to cut it once, when this lets me cut forever (or as long as it lasts). In this time in the world? Yeah, we all need money. Save your money, buy this and get almost effortless results!

Works like the gas and electric…

Love the product it gets the job done and more. Light weight easy and simple to use. Cleans up with no problems. I recommend this product to any user that likes to do lawn work. Works just as good as the gas and electric hedge cutters…

light weight trimer

Light weight, easy to use, battery powered so no cord to drag around, easy to get in places to trim, cuts well and doesn't tire out my arms to use it, should have bought it a lot sooner!

Power tools make life easy

Out of the box, using a previous tool's (weed wacker) battery, I did about a day's worth of manual pruning and trimming in an hour. Very handy and easy to use.

It's pretty lightweight and gets the job done.

I used the trimmer for the first time on a huge bush -- it was easy to use & maneuver & did a great job! I could trim and shape, cut small branches & get rid of the long, new growth. It was the first time I've used a saw-type tool and I was nervous about safety. After I started, I felt totally safe and comfortable using the trimmer. Glad I bought it!

Nice and light

I love Black and Decker lithium battery tools so I added this one and now have interchangeable batteries (I already had their string trimmer and leaf blower).. This hedger worked great, and I got so much done in a lot less time. Nice and light, easy to use. Fun, actually.

Impressed so far

Bought this because of it's good reviews and I have a B&D weed wacker that I've had for 7 years and have had no issues with it. Plus the batteries for the weed wacker are interchangeable with this. So I tried it today and was impressed both with it's power and it's lack of weight. I have an 8ft. high hedge, and because I'm tall I can reach up with the trimmer in one hand to clip all the way up the wall of the hedge. No need to use a ladder. Used the trimmer intermittently for over 90 minutes today and the battery was still going strong. I will edited this review if I have issues down the road with it, but so far I'm happy.

Pleasantly surprised - very happy

I bought this because I was tired of wrangling with my corded model. I have a high hedge along my front stairway... it’s tall and hard to reach and I hated doing it. I purchased a corded trimmer with a long cutting bar in order to reach areas but it was very heavy and was tiring to use and kind of dangerous... I repeatedly cut the cord while wrestling with it. The black and decker cordless is a godsend... it’s light, easy to manoeuvre and I can reach without getting tired, no more cutting or wrestling with cords, I can even use it one handed. It’s sharp and cuts well... everything my heavy corded model did but easier. I can’t attest to long run battery life yet but a charged battery lasts me the entire 40 minutes it takes me to trim the hedge and shrubs. Could not be happier, exceeded my expectations

Works as expected

Used to trim some hedges and this trimmer handles the job without an issue. It is light weight, weighs less than a battery grass trimmer, and feels ergonomic. Hedges are about 20-feet long, and we wanted to sculpt the top and sides to be squared off. No problems doing that with this trimmer. Took some practice to get the angles right but it's easy to use. It's not noisy (no hearing protection required imo) There is some assembly where you need to attach the support handle but that's it -- this only took a few minutes with a philips (cross bit) screwdriver. I purposely chose this product because I have the B&D grass trimmer (20v 4.0amh) and sweeper (20v 2.0amh), and they all use the same batteries and chargers as this hedge trimmer (20v 2.0 amh). This provides a lot of flexibility with batteries. I had a charged battery from one of the other products and was able to test and use the hedge trimmer within 10 min of opening the box. Happy with the purchase for the hedge

This will cut so much time off your trimming work in the gardens. How did I manage without it?!?!

Why didn't I have this 20 years ago?!?! Been lugging a heavy corded one around for years, that stops today! This one seems so much slower, but,...it's so much sharper and I appreciate the slower speed, less likely to chop off too much too fast. We have over 30 different types of shrubs and dozens of 'standards' that all require very regular trimming and pruning. To get out the corded trimmer is a big job that I never look forward to. It requires being plugged in from 3 different locations around the property. The cord has to be taken out, unwrapped, attached to the trimmer and then I can begin (and this happens 3 times, front yard, back east side, back west side) and then all wrapped up and put away. A big chore. This task has been reduced to zero. I walk into the garden tool shed, pick up the new trimmer, walk to the shrub,..begin. Trim (with greater accuracy) due to it's AMAZING SHARPNESS...(BE CAREFUL, I CUT A FINGER TIP LIFTING IT OUT OF THE BOX!, I DIDN'T EXPECT IT TO BE SO SHARP). At my next garage sale you'll find 3 different size electric corded trimmers. This new one has cut hours off my gardening work time.

Works a treat!

This hedge trimmer has been a godsend in tackling unwanted plant growth around our rural property. It makes short work of hacking back blackberry vines, small bushes, and long grass. My only regret perhaps is not opting for a model that articulates on the end of a long handle. But this unit really does what it's advertised to do! Overall, I recommend it highly. Just be aware that it is the sort of tool that will drain a 1.5A, 20V battery in 15-20 minutes of continuous use, so extra (or higher amp) batteries are a good thing to have on hand.
