Turned my power washer from an over-priced paperweight into something that actually gets the job done.
It should be a crime to sell a power washer without these attachments. Like buying a Porsche without tires and riding around on the rims...that's what my power washer was without these two little attachments. And I am not a man who indulges in hyperbole. Here's my story: The job: a white vinyl siding house with places that are about three stories high in some places. Siding has a bit of mould/dirt that needs to be washed. The tools: a top of the line Dewalt 4200 psi power washer ($1000)and a spray wand with the standard black/white/green/yellow/red nozzles. The problem: if you have ever tried to power wash siding, then you probably know that the most important step is to get the cleaning soap sprayed on all the dirty bits. When you apply the right chemicals, the dirt almost dissolves right off the siding even without much water pressure. Without the cleaner, you would need every one of those pounds-per-square-inch of water pressure to be applied from about a foot away to get whatever mould it is that tends to collect (grow?) on the siding. So unless I want to get out ladders and take a week off of work, my job has to start with applying the soap to the siding on a third story attic. Should be an easy task with 4200 pounds pressure, right? Turns out (at least on my over-priced paper weight) that this is an impossible feat. You see, the soap dispenser on the Dewalt only works with the black nozzle. What is the black nozzle? Well it is the attachment that spreads water into a nice fan shape that will go about 15 ft. Unfortunately my third floor is maybe 40 ft. I have this great red nozzle that shoots a narrow stream and it gets all the way to the top of the house. But unfortunately the machine won't draw any soap with the red nozzle. Apparently the pressure drop has to be in a certain range for the soap to siphon up and that is only possible with just the black nozzle. I even tried a long pole extension ($100) as a way to reach higher up and attached the black nozzle to the end and tried it like that. Unfortunately (yes...I am using that word a lot) it still did not work. The stupid Dewalt just will not draw any soap except through the black nozzle and it can only be attached to the handle the washer came with, any other nozzle (or configuration) that might help you get soap to the top of a house and it won't work. They actually designed it that way! It says so right in the manual. So I can't apply any soap to what I want to clean...unless i get out the big ladders. Since soap is critical to the job and the black nozzle only sprays about 15 feet, that is all the power washer can clean. It's like buying a Porsche and finding out the engineers put a governor on the engine that shuts it down if you go more than 25mph. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of the machine. Absolutely ridiculous. And then I found these little attachments and tears of joy ran down my face. (Ok, maybe just a bit of hyperbole). The pink nozzle worked!!! It drew up the soap under pressure and it sprayed high enough to dispense soap to the top of a three story house. The blue nozzle was also more useful than the others. It's pressure at the nozzle opening is likely a good bit lower than the standard red attachments, but it had a longer range. The red nozzle has extremely high pressure that seems to dissolve into mist by the time it got to the top of the house.

When combined with an extension wand…they do the trick!
I used these pressure washer tips combined with the Briggs & Stratton 6206 Pressure Washer Extension Wand (9 Feet) and was successful in getting areas that I had never before been able to reach. I have a high pitched roof and green mold was really starting to build up. I don't have a large extension ladder and with the regular wand and tips…it just wasn't effective enough to get these very high areas clean. I knew that these spray tips were not going to be enough either, so when combined with the extension wand it really made a difference. I have a 2700 psi power washer and these tips really do put more pressure into the water release and sends it further out. I tried them in my regular wand and compared them with the tips that I already have. I would say that these gave me about four feet of additional pressured water. Using just my regular wand and a 12 foot step ladder, I was able to reach some of the problem areas that I have been able to get to. When combined with the extension wand…that really made the difference. I had no problem with the soap tip. I even used it through the 9 foot extension wand and it worked perfectly. It is more of a stream that basically slaps the soap onto the side of the house. I just started at the top and let the soap run down and let it sit for a few minutes. Overall, these tips and the extension wand worked well with me and it helped me take care of those ugly spots that I would have to leave behind every year. Just be prepared when using an extension wand because it certainly is a workout with the arms! I'd still recommend these without the extension wand if you have a single story home with some hard to reach areas. I agree with the other reviewers that these probably won't fully reach the second story…especially if you have a high pitched roof.

Worth more than twice the price, easily
Ok, these things are phenomenal. I own a two story home, and while I cant tell you the exact height I can say that both the upstairs and downstairs have twelve foot ceilings. There is an attic on top, with the standard peaked gable. I had planned on using the blue nozzle to wet the siding, the pink to spay soap and the blue to wash it clean. When I started using the blue, it blasted the dirt off all the way to the gutters, and I ended up not even using the pink nozzle or soap. To be fair, I somewhat cheated... I pulled out my 6 foot ladder, set it up about 4-5 fee away from the house, and sat on the top of it (you know, the part with big letters that says "DO NOT SIT HERE"). From this position, I was able to clean the entire house, ground to gutters, and I only had to move the ladder three or four times since even at a relatively steep angle the pressure was enough to blast the dirt and mildew off the house. Before I had purchased these, it took me hours to do a small part of my second story above the garage. With these, i did the entire house in less time than it took to do the small part i had washed previously. This, and a concrete washer attachment are two of the best purchases I have made.

My 3100 psi power washer has a 0 degree nozzle that can send the spray up to the second floor but the nozzle is fine enough that
I would gibe it 5 stars if the pink soap nozzle would spray at a lower rate. It has the ability to send it up to the send floor, even technically third or attic second of my house. The problem is that it trades strength for flow rate. The flow rate is high and uses a lot of soap. This is the same for the blue nozzle. My 3100 psi power washer has a 0 degree nozzle that can send the spray up to the second floor but the nozzle is fine enough that at the top of the 2nd floor the spray is no longer a stream but a power mist. The blue water nozzle reaches beyond but it is actually a lower pressure as it trades pressure for flow rate to get higher. You will use more water and soap but you will also not need a ladder. I wish there was a median where you have slightly higher pressure with less flow rate (especially for the soap nozzle as Zep cleaning solution is not cheap) but that would be ideal.
