Capezio 7.5 versus Bloch Dansoft 4.5

Needed nude tone shoes for my daughters 5th grade musical and I ordered both the Capezio Daisy and the Bloch Dansoft. My daughter's foot length is 8.75ish inches, she wears street shoes medium width kids 4.5 / ladies 6.5. So I order according to reviews and / or charts. For the Capezio I ordered the 7.5 and a Bloch 4.5. Both are very good shoes,. The uppers are soft leather, the soles are suede, both outside length from heel to toe is about 9 inches, both has the tie bow to tighten. The differences you can see in my pictures. The color of the Capezio is more nude tone (Bloch is more pinkish), the inner sole is cloth material (whereas the Bloch inner sole is suede), the outer sole is longer than the Bloch and the top of the Bloch shoe is a tad wider. I think on both shoes I could have gone a size smaller or narrower and it would still fit. But I'm going to keep the Capezio and return the Bloch not because the Bloch is not a good shoe (it is very good and comparable) but because the color of the Capezio (nude) fitted our needs better and the fit of the Capezio felt less loose on her foot. Price was within a $3 difference ($22 to $25).

Tight fit

I ordered a half size bigger but it was still tight on the toes. However, since it is made of leather, I’m hoping it will stretch for better a fit.

Accurate sizing/classic shoe

As a former professional ballet dancer, I love this shoe. The elastic is already sewn on, and the lining is a sweet extra touch. I found the fit true to size once I utilized the drawstring option.

Will buy again

The dirty slippers in the photo are my old ones. I normally wear a shoe size 7 but in ballet slippers I’m 8 1/2 narrow. The new ones fit exactly like my old ones and It’s just weird seeing brand new ones. I’ve just always been attached to Capezio and their products never fail me.

Order the narrow size!

I ordered a 9... I am a street shoe 8.5-9. It was SO wide, it was gaping at the sides, and a definitely too long... fit more like a 9.5/10. I re-ordered an 8Narrow. It fits almost perfect--just a bit snug at the toes. I have re-ordered once again an 8.5 Narrow. I have a feeling it will be perfect! My feet are on the average to slightly wider size, but I need the narrow! So if you have narrow or normal width feet, be sure to order the narrow!

I usually wear a size 6 shoe, 5 in adidas and I ordered a 6N. My foot is not narrow but it fit perfectly. They are so comfortable and very easy to do pirouettes.

Perfect !

Excellent ballet shoes. This is the third pair (and third brand) of ballet shoes I have bought within a few weeks in order to find the right shoes and fit and these are perfect. Lovely soft, supple leather makes them better by far for movement of the foot, particularly for pointing ! I have a narrow foot and the narrow fitting is just right. I am normally a size 4 but bought a 5.5 and that was a good fit length-wise. Would definitely recommend for beginners like me !

Fits true to size

I love Capezio ballet slippers. These fit true to size, exactly like all the Capezio slippers I own (I'm a 9 in street shoes and dance shoes), they are good quality, and a nice deep black.

Comfy soft ballet shoes.

I needed a size larger than ordinary shoes. I have a wide foot and these fit well.
