Easy Updater

These shades replaced our 20-yr old fan's light fixture ugly, old clear glass tulip shades. The new shades look more contemporary and create a nice ambient color.

Nice, be aware of the "mist"

These are very good looking. Be aware the outside of the glass globe has a fine white "mist" covering. The fine white mist is not on the inside of the glass. At first I was disappointed that the glass has this mist, yet after placing the four on my Casablanca fan fitter, I grew to like them. They still have a tea-stain look, it just would have been better without the fine white mist on top of the tea-stained glass. I like the contemporary style, and they add a touch of class to the light unit. Best price I found was here at Amazon. All four arrived intact, no broken glass. I'm glad I waited a few days before deciding not to send them back because of the fine white mist covering. My fan is Bright Brass, with matte black blades. The color combination with the tea-stained light kit glass is eye catching. Hunter and Casablanca are the same company.

color looks great with wood grain and antique brass ceiling fan

These are what I have been looking for for years to update my wood grain and antique brass ceiling fans that I still love.....they just needed a new look! The color is exactly as shown, the quality is excellent and the rubber band in the grove is a fantastic idea to keep from breaking glass when tightening down screws. My 2 fans are 3-light fixture fans so I needed to purchase 2 boxes of 4, which is just fine with me in case down the road if one does break , it can easily be replaced without having to go through the dilemma of finding new shades! These glass shades would also look great with newer style black fans!

Very Nice, but Install Issues

Purchased one of these kits to replace the standard light kit that came with our Hunter "Builder Deluxe" fan that we also purchased through Amazon. The quality and look of the kit is very, very nice. About my only complaint is that this kit doesn't employ the "one plug" design that came with the fan: it's a standard kit designed to be manually hard-wired to the fan. It wasn't a deal-breaker for me, but someone with less skills might have an issue with adapting this kit that particular fan. Overall, I like it and would recommend it to anyone with a Hunter fan looking for a brighter light or a different design.

Great Quality

Very nice, great quality. I was unable to find a similar shade color in the store & this is exactly what I was looking for!

Works as advertised

Like: rubber band around shade so the screws do not crack the glass, pretty hefty glass shaded, colour, allows enough lumens to read at the table compared to the standard candelabra bulbs in a bowl fixture. Dislike: a little old fashion for my taste. I have never been a fan of ceiling fans but it works as advertised. Please be aware the tea stain is sprayed on top of the frosted glass shade. The glass shade itself is not dyed that colour.
