It takes a licking and keeps on ticking

My first Casio lasted at least 20 years, and quite possibly 30 years. I honestly don't remember when I bought it. I can't say for sure because I only noticed it stopped working about 3 years ago. I set it down and didn't have time to deal with the battery and used my other watches. But I loved the timer function on my first Casio so much, and am currently in need of a timer function, that I picked it back up. It wasn't the battery, the watch stopped for good. My need for a timer function prompted me to go ahead and buy the same type of Casio, i.e., one that has a digital screen and an easy-to-set timer function. Yes, as someone pointed out to me, I could just use my phone's timer feature. However, half the time I don't know where my phone is. When I do find the phone, it requires that I unlock the screen, find the app, switch through the menu to find the timer function, and then set it. It may not be all that complicated, but with a quick touch of a button on this watch, I can easily set a 1-minute timer, a 3-minute timer, a 5-minute timer, a 10-minute timer, a 15-minute timer, a 20-minute timer, or a 30-minute timer. I don't have to find my phone and fumble through the lock screen or the app menus. I'm sure this will last me another 20 years. For the price (around $18.00 total), I figure 1 cent per year fits my pocketbook just fine.

Works great!

I work at a dog daycare and I have to set timers for various reasons, and this watch is perfect for that. It has increments of minutes at the top, and you just press the top left button until the amount of time you need has been underlined, then when the time is up it beeps. It also has a stop watch function as well as an alarm function that can be turned on or off. You can set hourly alarms or just one a day. Its also small enough so that the dogs aren't constantly trying to eat it. It is also easy to program so don't worry about complicated instructions, I was able to figure out how to change the time out without even reading them.

Awesome watch, but cheap band

I love this watch for its Count Down Timer and its small unobtrusive size. I am a molecular biologist and the times on the countdown timer are prefect for my experiments (1,3,5,10,15,20, 30 min). I can set it by feel and sound and don't even need to look at the watch. Also, I can put my hand in my pocket with the watch on, and it doesn't get in the way for all my outdoor activities. I am a man, but this is the only watch I buy over the past 20 years. Mind you, the cheesy cheap band always breaks long before the battery dies. I buy them in two's and have to re-buy every 2 years since the band breaks. I leave the broken band watches in the lab for lab timers. I can't find any other band that fits this small watch. PLEASE UPDATE WITH A BETTER BAND! Otherwise great watch 4.5+ stars.

OMG I FREAKING LOVE THIS THING

as someone with SEVERE ADHD this watch is a lifesaver. not only can i quickly check the time (which i’ve set 5 minutes later to help combat my chronic lateness), but i can also use the timers to keep myself on track when i’m doing a task!! **I’VE HAD THIS THING FOR EXACTLY A YEAR** and it’s been through hell and back. i skate, rock climb, lift weights, run for miles on end in the heat, worked in a greasy fast food place, body surfed in the ocean, and went freaking snowboarding with it on. not to mention the fact that i never take it off (showers, sleep, musty frat parties, etc) AND ITS LIKE BRAND NEW STILL!! the watch is discreet and so cute, too! 10000/5 stars. i love casio for this.

Just what I wanted

I bought this watch for my petite eight-year-old son. When we looked at boys’ watches they either didn’t have the features he wanted, or cost more than I wanted to pay for a watch that would face the rough treatment a kid his age will inevitably inflict. This watch is perfect. It fits him and has all the features he wanted at an affordable price. All that being said, it IS very small.

The ONLY watch

With an incremental timer button! I can't use any other watch because I use the 1,3,5,10,15 and 30 minute quick one touch timer button consistently throughout the day. I don't have a good sense of time, so I use all of those while doing tasks so I don't get lost in projects throughout the day. I wish they made more attractive models with this feature, and I wish it was a bit louder, but its the best out there. I don't even use it to tell the time, I have a fitness watch I wear for all of that. I only use it for that timer feature. I hope they never stop selling these!

Little, rugged, and functional

Great product with simple/basic features (Time, date, alarm, stop watch, countdown timer....NO LIGHT). It's noticeably smaller than most other watches (even Casio models) I've owned several of these watches over the past 25 years. This watch is low profile and doesn't get caught in sleeves. It can take the heat/cold (wear it in the sauna and out skiing). It is waterproof enough to swim with even though the specs say it is only water resistant (light splashes not total submerging). I've never had moisture problems with it. Usually the first thing to go is the watch band holding tab, then the actual band. I could never find a replacement band but than the watch is probably cheaper the a new band anyway. I recommend this watch.

Decent

The watch is decent for the price. The only downside is I find the buttons are quite sensitive and if you knock them you can end up changing the settings or setting some sort of alarm.

TINY TINY then a bit smaller

Big fan of casios have loads of them, bought this for the Mrs as a running / gym watch. It is tiny, and when I say tiny, then shrink it again. Went in the charity bag, waste of money
