hungry cat works best with this
Perhaps my cats are spoiled, but they only "work" at this slow-feeder when they are very hungry. I didn't get it until they were 12, so it might work best with younger cats. They will eat any kibble that is immediately available in the large holes, but they will only play or spin this when they are very hungry. I have it on a carpeted area, so it might be best on a hardwood floor or linoleum, if you want it to spin. Still, it has helped cut done on them gorging on kibble, then immediately purging it. This was happening even when their kibble was always available, so I'm happy that this slows them down.

Ok, but low angle makes it tough for cats to work the treat out
This is the third variation of puzzle type toy I've bought for my cats, just to give them something different to get their dry food out of. The idea's great, but I've found that the edges slope to such a low angle that my cats have trouble getting their paws in to get the kibble out. That aspect seems like more of a design flaw than a puzzle to solve. Even so, it's easy to clean and if the top is too much for the kitties, you can always take it off and just put a few pieces on top of the puzzle just to give them something different to eat/play with.

Easy puzzle for curious kitties.
This is very user friendly to fill and clean. It's not a difficult puzzle for lazy cats and holds enough interest for our younger more curious one. I also like that it's NOT easily kicked across the room and lost under a couch like the ball treat dispensers.

Not a fan
One of my cats just sits there looking at it, the other beats it around. Neither is a fan of this feeder. They get frustrated with it.

MY CAT IS LAZY! MY NEIGHBORS CAT LOVED IT!
I bought this for my cat, but she thinks her paws are paralyzed, had me even believing it too for a while there! LoL But I gave this to my neighbors cat who she says just loves it. I started out with putting treats in it and she was just too lazy to work for them! I'd even go to the point of putting the treats in the openings (doors of it) to make it easy on her and she was like- - "DUH!"- -then instead of trying to move it "with her paws" she'd reach "under it," - -don't ask me what she expected to find there! Depends on how dumb your cat is and how lazy your cat is as to how they will react to this. LoL

Nice Quality
The white base feels nice and sturdy, with a little bit of heft. My cat is new to toy feeders, and she repeatedly left the food unfinished because this spinner was a little too difficult for her. That's not a bad thing. I've taken to leaving the green rubber top off every other time I pull this out. That makes it a 2 for 1 toy in our household. And leaving the green top off makes the game just a little bit easier for her, but still slows her down. I would recommend.

Battery do not come with it make sure you have some ready for it
This is really a nice Toy but my Cat played with it one time, now one mouse will Not work anymore. I have to Send it back Now.

Decent food toy, but note it does not spin.
Consequently it is difficult for cats to get the food out. My cats lost interest very quickly.

Barely a puzzle at all!
My cats are big users of puzzle feeders, and I'd hoped this one would present them with a nice new challenge. Nope. It is difficult to fill the feeder without the food pouring out of the sides as you fill it. And when I put it down for my cats to look at Maisie marched up, sniffed it a bit, gave it a couple of experimental and very gentle taps with her paw--then she whacked it hard (her preferred option), and knocked it onto its back, scattering food all over the place. Which she then wolfed down and promptly vomited straight back up again. I returned the feeder as it failed to slow her eating down at all, and presented no challenge to her. She's too clever, that girl.

it kind of works
i have to admit i'm not too sure how the cats are meant to be using this and neither are they don't suppose its meant to be picked up by the silicone and thrown around the room (which is what one of my boys did to it when i put some treats in).. the other thing they tried was eating straight out of the middle (i probably put too much food there) they are starting to get the idea of food coming out of the sides but not seen any deliberate spinning or guiding food around in summary it seems well built (surving so far) and an interesting idea, which definitely makes them work a bit for their meals and offering a bit of variety to the "dispensing balls"

My cats love this!
This is great for my cats as some of the treats come out easily and some don’t so it keeps them busy. They did manage to chew a bit of the green plastic off I haven’t seen it since! It hasn’t caused them or the toy any problems and they haven’t done it since so I still use it as they like it so much.

Cat loves it
My cat absolutely loves this and because he always used to gobble his food down he was eating more than he should. This has slowed him down and makes him work for his food and it keeps him entertained. All round success.I would highly recommend it

It might take her a while!
It’s a very cute thing. My Cat is very smart (I know, everyone says that!) but she doesn’t get it. She’s 16, though and I’m fairly certain her eyesight is failing so she wouldn’t see the little grooves. She does play with it though.
