My welding got so much easier.

I had been using an older helmet to weld and the tint adjustments were not working correctly. I was having trouble seeing what I was welding. Following a seam was nearly impossible. With this helmet, I added a 2.5 magnifier and wow, I can see so much better. My welds are straight and neat.

This helmet suits my needs perfectly. For the occasional welding I do, it's great that there are no batteries to have to worry about.

Great helmet for a good price.

Owned one of these for about 4 years now. It has held up amazingly well. It has some issues darkening if you're welding on the backside of something and not staring directly at the arc. I do agree that it does not come down far enough on the neck. I can't do a lot of SMAW without getting some spatter in my beard, but otherwise it's a great helmet.

It's fine for hobby use

Keep shopping if you weld all day. The headgear pinches my ears on flip-down. It's fine for hobby use, or to hang in your garage to show your friends you think you know how to weld. If you like bleeding from the top of your ear, by all means, proceed with this purchase.

Good quality!

One month shy of 5 Years since I bought this, still working great. Didn't use it much for the first few years but as time goes on I've been welding more and more on my vehicles. Still works great. As with all solar operated helmets, you must regularly clean the inside and outside of the outer clear plastic protector. Any accumulation of weld smoke or dust etc. will make the helmet slower to darken or not darken at all so keep it clean!
