i read the reviews after i pulled the trigger and thought we’ll i’ll try to get it off. 90% rubbing alcohol and an old cloth. boom done. perfect no stick!

NEEEDS AN ALCOHOL BATH BEFORE USING

This is made with “soft touch” plastic which is really just a coating that deteriorates and gets sticky. Another reviewer stated that cleaning it off with 90% alcohol will remove it (thank you!). You will want to go over every part of black plastic and scrub off the sticky coating. Then you’ll be good to use it without ending up with a mess like the other reviewers. Now I have a super cheap CHI backup iron!

First product had sticky substance so requested a replacement and the second one was just as sticky. Returned both items for a refund

DO NOT Purchase-Sticky Mess

I was so excited to find a styling tool that was a flat iron and a small barrel curling rod. It was a special on the fall’s Prime Days. I was so excited about it, I forgot to look at reviews. It was coated with a sticky tar-like substance just like the reviews said. I called the company’s customer service to see if I could use something to remove this but they said it wasn’t their issue it was Amazons. I had to return since it was not easy to get the sticky stuff off your hands and I was afraid it would get all over my hair. Super disappointed!

OMG!

IDK what to say about this other than I've never experienced anything like this in my life. I've purchased some real junk on this site, but this takes the cake. Every part of the handle & the black parts, except for the cord, the plates of the flat iron & the curling iron barrel were coated in a sticky superglue like substance that got all over my hands & wouldn't come off after trying everything, including WD-40. 2 hrs trying to get this substance off & contemplating going to the hospital. Had to call into work & make arrangements for a child to be picked up. Ridiculous & UNACCEPTABLE. Amazon you really need to get it together because this is now a legal matter. This substance ruined my bathroom countertop, an article of clothing & it's in my hair! I don't know how it's going to come out. I'm livid!

Somewhere in the middle

I read previous reviews and when mine arrived it was completely sticky everywhere. I hoped that probably was resolved bit it wasn’t. I was able to clean it off all parts but was so disappointed I haven’t used it

It was so sticky I couldn’t touch it, returning now. Glad I decided to check it out before gifting it to my 14year old for Christmas. Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
