Warm and comfortable

I bought this sleeping bag because a couple of my friends who I do fall and winter (heated tent) camping in Northern Canada with have "The Beast" sleeping bag by the same manufacturer. The flannel interior and bulkiness just looked comfortable in comparison to my semi-light weight RAB Ascent 800 down nylon-interior mummy bag. I run hot and tend to be the one tending to the fire so I didn't go with the Beast (besides... someone needs room in his snowmobile boggan to actually transport the rest of our gear... I'll return to this point). As expected the Trailside Dawson 6 is warm, comfortable and less restrictive than a mummy bag. Camped out with my family and slept on the ground in mid -20s Celsius weekend. I probably could have slept the night without refilling the fire but it would have been a tad on the cold side even for me (who as I previously mentioned run a tad hot). All in all I am pretty happy with it. The major downside is the packed size so if portability is a key consideration this isn't for you. Its not the Beast (which comes in a hockey bag sized stuff sack) but its still comes in a big package. If portability is my concern I'll use my down RAB bag (the life of which I will extend by using this reasonably priced bag as well).

I like how warm it gets.. its big and comfortable. Great buy for the price. I have no regrets for buying it. The color is also great
