Light, Quality Connectors

Currently in the process of replacing all of my fittings with these. In the past, I've always used the normal brass industrial style fittings. Had some issues with airflow on a new HVLP sprayer and die grinder and decided to try these out. First thoughts are that they are noticeably lighter than the brass, yet seem just as resilient. The quick-connects are VERY satisfying and feel great. Pulling the quick connect disconnects the fittings even with no pressure, which is really nice. The coating feels and looks really good, we'll have to see how well it holds up but I am not concerned yet. And at this price, they are pretty much the same price as normal brass fittings but lighter and more airflow. Now, just need to buy a nicer regulator!

excellent.. zero leaks no need for teflon tape

bigger hole than my other high flow fittings.. these are aluminium and bronze so keep that in mind if you are planning to smash your air tools too much.. Crazy more flow and power.. will empty your air tank fast! One cool feature is that you dont need to pull on the fitting to attach it to the other end... you just push and it goes in like butter. so nice.

I like the design but have since been buying their brass version since I received this set.

Pretty colors but doesn't seem durable. Not sure how the steel couplers will resist rust either. I do like the high CFM, which is very important, and have been replacing everything in my system with their brass V-style products for all of my tools. These aluminum plugs are OK on low use indoor tools but not real working tools. They do make a huge difference in performance over other, more typical, couplers. They really do help keep the working end of the hose from running out of air. I'm replacing everything I have with their brass version. I am sure Goodwill or Salvation Army would love all my old fittings.

Definite improved airflow and performance.

I'm not a professional mechanic who turns a wrench for a living and my air compressor is a 21 gallon, 2.5 HP, 125 psi Central Pneumatic from Harbor Freight that I've had for the past 3 years. I mainly use my air tools for routine maintenance on my cars and yard equipment and my son and his friends use them for their cars. With the exception of a Matco MT1712 1/2 impact gun, all of my other air tools, air fittings and air hoses are Central Pneumatic from Harbor Freight. With that being said, I was never really impressed with the performance of my air tools, however, since I bought them from HF, I wasn't really expecting much. Recently, I needed a new air hose and also decided to change out my hose fittings. I Googled which would be the best hoses and fittings and consistently saw Milton V-Style fittings in my searches. As you can see in the picture, the fitting on the top is a steel Central Pneumatic air fitting from Harbor Freight, in the middle is a Milton V-Style steel fitting from Milton S-217, and the bottom is a fitting from this reviewed package. After checking prices I decided on this package because it included the couplers and fittings. I had read the reviews regarding durability since these were made from anodized aluminum and wasn't too concerned because I don't really abuse the hoses or fittings. After installing them with Teflon thread tape I had a chance to use an air chisel and air hammer for a project. I could tell right away that the performance was much better. The air chisel was bouncing around a lot and the coupler and fittings were getting a good workout. There was no noticeable damage or defect at all in the fit or finish. Upon using my impact gun I was able to see a definite improvement in performance when trying to remove rusted bolts. These couplers and fittings definitely improved performance. I grease the internals of my impact gun regularly and also use an in-line lubricator but was never really satisfied with it until now. I had actually considered upgrading my impact gun to get better performance. The only "down" side to these fittings is that you'll use a lot more air and your compressor will kick on more often. As I've said before, I also bought the steel version of these fittings (Milton S-217) and they work just as well. If you're worried about the durability of the anodized aluminum then that would be your best alternative although they are not purple. The couplers are backwards compatible with other fittings but you won't get the increased airflow that you get when you have all V-Style fittings and couplers. The V-style fittings WILL NOT mate up to non V-Style couplers. I also use Marvel Mystery Oil to oil all of my air tools and Royal Purple Synthetic compressor oil in my air compressor.

prefer milton parts

unsure that i realized any bonus CFM as yet, but the purple series works as expected. haven't tried on the intake of the blast cab, either. like the pop-in, release-out feature and the color (my fav). a little pricey, but acceptable. also use the all-brass and the red anodized.

V coupler

Easy to use, great air flow

The plugs are really thin metal, very light, almost plasticy. Purple paint starts to wear off pretty quick. But I havent had one break on me yet. The couplers are better quality, the quick connect always works, and they take both purple and regular M plugs. Only issue you'll run into is if you dont use the purple couplers at every point in your air compressor setup and ditch regular couplers completely, you're going to run into the problem where you need to switch out a coupler because while the purple couplers will take both the purple plugs and regular M plugs, the purple plugs don't fit into anything but the purple couplers. So plan your setup accordingly, or buy extra purple couplers and go full high flow everything.

Nice product that easily identifies matching air lines

I had some fittings (I think they were M type) on the smaller compressor I purchased from Canadian Tire. But they didn't match up with some fittings I had on some tools I inherited from my dad. Plus I noticed that it seemed to take too long to fill up some tires with air with the old fittings. Researched different types of fittings & decided to go with high flow V fittings, which these are. These are nicely colored, so I can see at a glance that the tool I want to use is compatible with the fitting. I used a fair bit of teflon tape to seal the threads when I installed them, & the compressor holds air a lot longer now than before (probably my fault before).

Flimsy

Not as Robust as you would expect for something that says high flow pro, after 3 days of use coupler failed when disconnecting which would have emptied the tank had i not had a shut off valve, after investigation found a little oil helps with less grating, feels like dry aluminum on aluminum. time will tell if they hold up. i do not recommend.

Supercharge your air tools!

Obvious airflow advantage. Photo shows my old type "M" and type "A" 1/4" connectors beside hi-flow. Allows 70% more air through the connectors. Use with 3/8" or larger hose and fittings to receive full performance. Only drawback - not compatible with any other fitting styles, but that is the reason for changing out your old fittings.

Works as advertised. There’s actually more air flow. Even from my small efficient 20gal. And when I measured the inside diameter, it’s noticeable larger. Gonna see how they test with my LVLP or HVLP spray guns. Now I just need to replace all my tools in my garage. May need to get another pack. Top tip- make and quick fit adapter by fitting a regular adapter to one of these. In case you want to use another tool that doesn’t have one of these or using someone else’s tool.
