Came Clean

Fed Ex delivered this shirt in a separate bag, along with two others I had ordered that came together in a different bag. Both of the shirts that were sent together were inside separate, clear bags, while this one was not. The shipping bags had apparently been poorly treated - black smudges on both and tears in the bags. As a result, the shirt in the single bag had what appeared to be a heavy grease, smeared on the collar. Before returning it, I decided to scrub it with Oxy-Clean and wash the shirt. It took two attempts, but the stubborn stain came out. I have many Columbia shirts and one of the reasons I bought some of the "Blood and Guts" shirts was because of their claim that they resist bad stains. Well, in my experience, they do.

My new line of fishing shirts, Columbia's 'Blood and Guts'

What a fantastic shirt from Columbia, offered at a significant discount at Amazon! I have easily 25 different Columbia PFG shirts, long and short sleeve, Tamiami ll, Bahama ll, Bonehead, Bonehead ll, Super Bonehead, Terminal Tackle, etc.......all great products, perfect all season fishing gear that LASTS! I just received another 'Blood and Guts' that immediately looks and feels precisely as expected.....comfortable and high quality, from the button down collar to the little extras like a lens cleaning pad BUILT IN....how many times do other fishermen need to clean their expensive fishing glasses! And I visit Columbia retail outlets all over America as I travel and fish, but always return to Amazon to buy for easy quick delivery anywhere I am, their return policy, their unbelievably low prices, and complete selection.....

Great summer fishing shirt

If you want a fishing shirt that will keep you cool in the summer, this is the one. I ordered and tried Columbia's Blood and Guts III, Bonehead and Bahama II shirts to compare. I kept the Bonehead in a long-sleeve because it is a heavier, cotton material that I figured would be good for fishing in the fall when it can get chilly. For the short sleeves, I only kept the Blood and Guts III shirts. Their material is very light and breathable. It is soft and extremely comfortable. I haven't had many stains to get out, so I cannot attest to the claims of being good at not holding those in. But, if I were going to recommend a single fishing shirt for in the summer, this would be the one.

Disappointed in Columbia Quality Control

I am a big Columbia and PFG fan, already own about 10 of these type of shirts including the original Blood and Guts. These latest three I bought here on Amazon were disappointing in many areas, especially compared to the others I bought in a store. The fabrics vary greatly between these three Blood and Guts III. One is the most static ridden cloth I've ever owned, the other two have no static issue. Two of them are like thin women's panties in their feel while the other is a rougher weave. These shirts DO NOT perform well out of the dryer as my other PFGs all have. Overall I get the sense these are Columbia PFG knockoffs. With such differences and inconsistencies in the fabric of these PFG shirts I doubt the UPF and stain resistant claims. It is unfortunate Columbia does not have more rigorous controls on quality especially for a shirt at the $45 plus price range. The Red color represented is actually a deep pink, poor representation on the sample. Style and fit were fine.

Me quedó un poco grande. La compre talla CH ya que soy M, pero aún así de los lados me quedó un poco grande. Me gustó mucho, la calidad está de lujo.

La camisa es de muy buena calidad. Basado en los comentarios publicados pedí una talla menor a la mía y me quedo muy bien. Es cierto que ésta marca viene más amplia. Para tener en cuenta en futuras compras.
