flattering fit - but the white is fairly sheer

I ordered the white. Wearing a white bra, you can definitely see my bra straps through the front of the shirt and the back of the shirt is even more sheer (skin tone sort of shows). It's not horrible, but I would not wear this shirt to work, for example. For outdoor sports, it should be ok. You could wear a cami, but another layer sort of defeats possible cooling. I'm not sure about the snaps - they seem to require a tug to undo, but if I'm doing something active, I don't want the snaps to undo themselves suddenly. It's definitely less secure than buttons. I would order up 2 sizes unless you want the shirt to be form-fitting - esp if you have a bust. I ordered one size larger than usual, and this shirt would not fit in my usual size. On the plus side, the cut is flattering and the pockets are big enough to hold a large iPhone. The material seems like it will be cool in the heat.

My favorite shirt when out in the sun

I love the soft fabric of this sun shirt and the fact that it has an air vent under a flap across the shoulders in the back. That allows me to move my arms freely when golfing. No need to cover my self up in sunscreen when I have this shirt nearby. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves to participate in outdoor activities.

Great looking sun protection.

I bought this shirt for use on a trip to Italy. It was perfect. Light weight and comfortable, it was perfect for covering my shoulders in the sun as well as in the churches. It worked well as a cover up with a sundress and kept it's shape even after a long day of sightseeing. It was also great as a casual jacket when the air-conditioning became too much on the bus. As for sun protection, it absolutely lived up to it's protection factor. I was always covered. **7/17 Update. I bought one for my daughter this year. She loved it! She is very fair and hates having to put on sun screen all the time. She was covered and comfortable.

What I needed.

I am not supposed to go out in the sun without protection, as I have skin problems that are very ugly. These are wonderfully light and cooler than just a long-sleeved shirt. I ordered mine larger than necessary, so I could wear it over shirts without it looking like it was way too snug over my breasts. This fit the bill just fine!

Love this shirt , protects from sun can be worn over a tank , have worn it on two Camino walks over 800 miles , wanted a new one for my next 600 mile walk can’t go wrong washes easy and hang dry ready to wear.
