It was very very good and stopped working in 19 months of loyal service.
Say bye-bye to the kettle yesterday after its 19 months' long and 2 boilings everyday. I want to say thank you for the product. Every product will die but few would leave the past owner a cherished memory. I remember the convenience and readiness it brought me.

I don’t know what kind of black magic is going on but this thing boils water crazy fast. Lid opens wide which is great for cleaning. People complain that it’s loud but I don’t find it to be an issue. Auto off is great as well.

Daily use, new dimension of convenience
Over a year's daily use, could not be more pleased with it so far. The only thing further is how long it will last. If it performs like this for four or five years, it's an ideal product for a very fair price. I love the design and the light. It's cool. It's a cool thing to have that works fast and is almost impossible to mess up or find problems with from my own experience. It's so convenient that I often refill and hit that button when I wouldn't normally. I use it when I want to cook something with smaller amounts of water and I just boil in the kettle first and then start with already boiling hot water on the stove. I also take supplements that can or should have hot water added sporadically and have found that I go back to it so often while realizing what a convenient feature it has given my daily life. It is definitely not one of those once-a-year kitchen appliances that takes up room. It looks and functions fine always out on the table or counter, so you can keep water in it and press the button whenever you want a quick touch of hot water or tea. The sleek look of it ensures that leaving it out does not seem junky at all, IMO, so it's always plugged in and ready. Really happy with this purchase, guys. Packed very well too.

Overall ok
Ok I love the look, since mostly glass it's pretty to be on countertop. You have to make a minimum of 2 cups. Which is fine for me, I make one cup of tea (or pour over coffee) to drink right away and then the second I have ready for later. Love the little light button you press down to start. It turns blue while working. The lid does NOT come off! It really should for easy cleaning. Now you should only be putting clean water in it. They recommend brewing with vinegar to clean(this will have you wasting lots of water to get that vinegar taste gone after). If the lid would come off I could use a damp cloth with mild soap to clean etc. Then rinse out. So that's my big "wish they would of". Otherwise works great, looks good, cord can disappear underneath.

Hot water fast
Nice hot water kettle. Heats really fast and I like the lighted feature when on (plus the automatic shut off). The lid doesn't open all the way nor does it remove, so cleaning and/or adding water from my water filter system can be a little tricky but it's not too burdensome. I have been using this kettle for about 3 months, and the flip down filter at the pour spout came off. Not exactly sure why, and more importantly I can't get it back on. There is a little button that projects when the lid closes and regardless which way I put this little filter back into place the button interferes and now will not allow the lid to close unless I keep this little filter off. That's not really a big deal since I'm only using it for water so there's nothing to filter, but it does seem to be a design flaw. Other than that, so far so good. I will update again if I notice any other problems over the coming months.

Great kettle!
I bought this electric kettle to replace an old one I have owner for several years. Overall I was very impressed by the COMFEE kettle. Here is a breakdown of my rating: Packaging: the packaging for the kettle was professional looking and the packing material in the box was sufficient. Time to heat: the kettle was able to heat from cold water to boiling in just under 5 minutes. I have included a picture of my timer reflecting that. Visual appeal: the shape of the kettle was typical of other kettles out on the market. I liked that this kettle has a small filter over the pour spout. There is a button on the handle to press to lift the top of the kettle to pour water in. Button to turn the kettle on is near the bottom of the handle, and light on the bottom of the kettle will turn on to indicate water is heating. Light turns off once water is boiling. Ease of Use: kettle was easy to operate and has a good weight to it. Easy to turn on. Cons: If I had to nitpick one thing it would be that when you lift the lid to pour water in, the lid only opens to a ~45 degree angle. I would have preferred it to open a bit more, maybe to even 90 degrees. However, this doesn’t really doesn’t prohibit any operation of the kettle, just a personal preference and definitely NOT a deal breaker.
