Decent. Good for the price.

The media could not be loaded. These were actually a lot nicer than I though they would be. I am 5'9" 182 lbs. 12% body fat. I am pretty slim though for my weight. I appear more like 165-170. I'm not bulky or too muscular. I got the size Reg. They fit perfectly on me. This is the first pair of shin pads I have purchased. I have been using the ones at the MMA academy where I train and these look and feel nicer (More snug, more protection). I haven't used them yet. The extra piece of foam going down the center is pretty solid. It would probably hurt your sparring partner if you kicked them. I think they provide more protection to the person wearing them. Overall I think I made a good choice. They look a little different from what is shown. They say TOP Contender MMA on the patch. The logo is Red and Black and white, and the edges are white all around. They are not solid black. I actually think they look better than the photo but they are not what is pictured. FYI!!

Love em, they are the best shin guards i ever purchased. The only thing keeping it from a five star rating from me is the straps. I wish the would of put those metal hooks on them so they can be more secure and fastened better. Other than that when I'm doing my muay thai sparring they are light weight and comfortable. I love that they put the padded strip down the middle so it can be lighter less padding means less weight they put padding where its necessary which is down the shin. Once these are done and ran through i will get another pair.

this is my first pair of shin guards so I have no idea how this compares to other shin guards. However, several people at the gym also have the same brand and the price is affordable. My only complain is that the top of the shin guard can make contact with the knee (I usually push down the shin guard a bit to get more clearance for my knee)

For the price I paid which was $25 O got about $25 of use. The strap in the back digs into your knee and is very uncomfortable, that said these provided decent shin protection for as long as they lasted. They might be a little hard for touch sparring, but will protect you well while you're trying to see if you like kickboxing. After a few weeks you'll need to transition to something better, Sanabul makes a really good cheap alternative, and obviously Fairtex, TopKing, and Hayabusa are gold standards for shin guards

All is Great, but...

They came before the said arrival date, so that is a plus! The only thing is, they are not what the picture said. The picture says Contender Fight Sports, and the guards I received say Top Contender MMA. Not sure why, but they do. Other than that, they fit okay, a little loose but I can manage, and the extra foam in the center is pretty solid.

Great for the price.

For the price, these are a decent entry level shin guards. However, unless I am mistaken as to what hook and loop straps are, these are not hook and loop straps used to secure these to your legs; instead it is two velcro straps which have thus far held up fine, but do not look too durable as far as any extended use (9+ months) is concerned.

Not a bad product for the price

Not a bad product for the price. Honestly, you get what you pay for. My only complaint is that when sparring, the shin pads will move slightly to the side. However, it is easy to move the guards back into place even while wearing boxing gloves. The movement is is due to the Velcro straps which do a decent job at holding the guards in place most of the time. Again you get what you pay for, it's a good entry level product. No need to spend tons on shin guards unless you plan on doing some serious sparring.

Not bad for the price.....

Amazon has tons of shin guards, but let's face it, these are at the low end of the price spectrum. I like them because go the easy on and off design. An elastic strap under your foot and two Velcro straps on you calf. Decent cushioning for kicking and blocking.
