Not induction ready

The description and the box both say induction ready. When you open the instructions it says NOT INDUCTION READY.

I would not buy it again

Not a bad device, but the design leaves much to be desired. By saving on materials and making a top reservoir with a deeply contoured bottom (see the pics), the designers have created a cleaning nightmare. Also, the walls of the top part are not thick enough to be rigid and flex when one is opening and closing the device by turning. The instructions specifically say not to use the handle for leverage, and one can see why: it is either spot-welded or more likely just glued(!) on rather than held with strong rivets. The hinge for the lid is quite flimsy as well. All-in-all, a passable device but not worth its price in my opinion.

Easily cleans with a simple dish brush. Also you cannot glue metal together.

Easily cleans with a simple dish brush. Also you cannot glue metal together. This is SPOT-WELDED like millions of other stainless steel items in the world. The reason the manufacture states not to use the handle as leverage to open and close ANY espresso maker is simply because that is a very common mistake people make.

Great mokka pot !! Great coffee basket !!

I know my stuff with mokka pots Cuisinox has the best stainless durable coffee basket on the market ive seen soo far The crimping on the inner tube is done well compared to another model i have where the treaded portion and vessel r seperate parts so theres no egress of pressure through there on this model !!!! The gasket and screen stay in place unlike another model ive had and comes with silicone not rubber. The thumb tab and hinge r quite good . At first i was sceptical of the tapered vessel but its ok to get in there and clean. The main handle is excellent..ps buy yourself a 4" electric burner , mine has paid itself off yrs ago therefore im not sitting it on precarious big burners and getting into melting handles etc. I add boiling distilled water to it so the heater does its job fast. This makes an excellent coffee. Dont forget an "espresso" grind is not recommended for mokka pots i use med fine grind with a good conical grinder i increase my grind a bit cause i use distilled water in all my coffee making appliances Pss..i wrap a couple wraps of teflon tape on the outer lip of all my coffee baskets and push it up towards the lip creating an "O ring" so steam doesnt leak from the vessel and into the coffee basket as to acheive a nice pressurised full extraction!!!. It will make 1 large cup of heroin coffee lol.....Bon appetite !!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy !!!!
