Actual break controller did not work

This wire may or may not have had a short in it. but the whole break controller setup had a short in it.

Easy install and it works!

Plug 'n Play - for the 2015-16 F150's pull the plastic panel under the steering wheel towards you from it's top - it clips on top, hinges on the bottom. That will expose a metal brace plate - 4 - 8mm (head/socket size) bolts remove it. Then you have tons of arm room to get to the Ford connector (stuck into the back of the spare change pocket in the dash) and clip into the Curt Harness - put the dash back, mount the brake controller directly above the gas petal (where you can see and reach it easy) and it's done - interfaces everything including trailer brakes and trailer backup lights.

This does fit a 2012 F150

Both the 51436 and 51437 work, same harness different packaging. Like others I took a first glance at my brake control plug on my 2012 F150 and thought it was the wrong size. It's not, the OEM recepticle has a plug over it, check out utube for more info but this worked fine on my vehicle. FYI< I called Curt and after following their advice, I realized that they were wrong. It does fit fine, but google the installation so you know what to do. Took 5 minutes to install also.

This wiring harness is of good quality. The one thing I would have liked to see different, would be to have the connector smaller so I would not have needed such a large hole to pass it through.
