Finally! The right size

I have been looking for a floor vent but zero out there 14x6. Super glad I found a white one of the few left. Its not in a high traffic area so should be ok Thank you for having the odd size!

Nice way to dress up a vent

This vent comes with all the necessary screws and is ready to install. It was my first time installing a vent and it was very easy and straightforward. Unfortunately, my older home does not have any standard openings and so I was not able to use the plastic closure part. Fortunately, the plastic attachment was easily snapped off. I am very pleased with the extra little style this adds to my vent.

Heavy, Beautiful; I Painted Mine to Match

I got two of the 6x10 registers to replace ones that had been painted over about 5 times and stuck to the wall. These are heavy metal on the front and black plastic louvers in the back. The louvers slide using tiny buttons hidden in the grate, So this does control the flow (you can shut it 100% it seems) but doesn't present you with a lever sticking out of the wall. I got the white metal, sanded off the shine with a palm sander, wiped down and coated with Glidden GRIPPER primer, let dry 24 hours. Then I used a sponge to cover with my latex paint finish, same as the wall. Installed the next day, looks amazing. I got a much better-looking grate and added the feature of adjustable flow. I'm going to order more for the rest of the house.

Really are a bit blue, otherwise perfect for my use.

I have steadily been installing these throughout my home while putting in ventilation to various closets that, for whatever reason, the builder didn't supply ventilation to. A great way to get really musty spaces. So a simple vent (with a damper) can work wonders in these places. I've only bought one through Amazon, but pick them up here and there when I see them on sale. I always intended to paint them, so the following is not a big deal for me, but will annoy many: the white vents are definitely a very very faint blue. Each time, every time, no matter where I pick them up from, they have a noticeable blue tint. Since I need to paint them a warm cream color anyway to match my house details, this is not an issue for me. Be forwarned however: you might need to paint these, so they might not be a direct drop in solution.

I have a very old house with heat vents half way up the wall. these vents fit perfectly and look like they belong to the age of the house. I like the look.
