Great Lever Style Door Handle

Our house came with a the Dexter line of lever door handles and we redid our basement and additionally wanted to swap a couple other handles to have locks and these are really great. They are easy to install, sturdy and look great. Overall we're really happy with these door handles!

Dexter by Schlage Torino Door Handle/ Lock

It was easy to install, looks good, and works as expected. I got it re-keyed at a local lock smith so I can use my original key, which fits all the other door locks in the house (7). It cost $6. If I had bought the handle at Lowes, they would have rekeyed it for free, but their delivery is not as prompt as Amazon's. Each handle had a hole drilled in it, on the backside of the handle. The original did not have these holes. You can't see them, but you can feel them, if you're paying attention, when you grab the handle. I had to file a burr off one of them. Not sure what purpose they serve, but it would be better if they weren't there.

Easy to install and ease of use.

I used this product to replace our 30+ yr old knobbed entry door lock. I expected that a few modifications would have been necessary, but the parts just slipped right into place. Also, the cover plates matched the old unit, so no touch-up painting was required. So, installation was fast and easy. Now for us, senior couple that is, opening the entry door is effortless. Great purchase.

DEXTER allows for an Easy Replacement

I needed to secure a closet with a lock, & the DEXTER Keyed Entry Lever set easily replaced the non-keyed existing set. Took less than 10 minutes. Luv the satin nickel finish !

Very sturdy and elegant

We needed a sturdy door knob that could stand up against the wear and tear of using the buddy bar door jammer. We have been using it for a few months and it holding up very well.

Easy instal

Great! We have the same collection through our home. We have a bonus door in our master closet that goes to our laundry room. We like to hide Christmas presents in our walk in closet, but can’t trust that the kids won’t forget and run through. They also see our door closed and think it is fun to go for the hallway, thru the laundry room, into our closet, through our master bath and surprise us by then being in our room. ???? because this door was an optional upgrade and doesn’t interfere with fire escape or anything, we added the lock. Super easy install!

Open box, missing keys.

Unfortunately, the box had been cut on the top and the keys for the lock were missing. It cost $80+ to have new keys made. Other than that, the locking handle was fine. Three stars for the inconvenience.
