Beautifully detailed statue.
I just received my statue in the mail and would like to start off this review by stating that apparently the person(s) responsible for shipping took the other reviews seriously. One of the common complaints was that the statue arrived broken and was poorly packaged. In my case the shipper seems to have taken extra care to correct that problem. The statue comes in 2 separate pieces both of which are completely encased tightly in form fitting Styrofoam in a inner box. The inner box was then placed in a much larger outer box and was wrapped in plenty of packing paper so as to provide a shock buffer during the usual wear and tear that occurs at loading docks and trucks. After unpacking the two components of the statue the wings easily slid onto the body of the statue and she looks beautiful. The details of the statue are exquisite especially considering the price. Although it was made from molds it looks like it was hand sculpted of wood by one of the Amish's best craftsmen. The quality of the paint job gives her skin a very real looking skin tone. The sharp detail of her facial features gives her a very life like appearance. Although the dimensions were listed in the product description I was pleasantly surprised by how tall she stands. According to the tape-measure I used the top of her head is at 15½ inches high and the top of her wings are both at just slightly under 17 inches high. For those who don't like reading long reviews here's the basics: It's a very beautiful high quality statue which arrived carefully packaged so as to prevent any damage during shipping. A very worth while investment in my humble opinion.

Celtic Fairy
This is a beautiful fairy, it looks prettier that the picture online. It states that it is for out door use but I put it out doors in full shape and it cracked, the little tips on the wings broke off. I am so disappointed. I wanted it for my garden. It now lives in doors with broken wings tips.

Incredible workmanship
I had experienced a loss and bought this as a protection for their burial place. It is so sweet. It's a little light for the 17 inch one in my opinion but overall beautifully made and relatively sturdy. The wings are slid on but I think that's to protect it during shipping.

Disappointing
I have very highly mixed feelings about this piece. It is detailed, but some scraped areas are around the joints. She has an odd facial expression. The pointed ears and wings are gorgeous, and the perching stance is nice, and the Celtic pedestal. Sadly It has a HORRIBLE unrecognizable chemical smell to it, and even left outside, it still smells 2 weeks later. I brought it inside briefly, and it was terrible! I put it back outside, but with the sun on it, it heats up, smells even more, and began changing colors. I do not feel it was worth the cost at all, and would return it, but we do not have the box now.

Very nice unique garden ornament
Very nice unique garden ornament. Arrived in perfect condition, contrary to other reviews of broken wings. Original box was packed in an Amazon box, although not totally "shake-free.". Item is in two pieces, not three. The wings slide onto the body of the statue. I do agree with other reviews that it's slightly off balance towards the back in weight. A sensual item for the flower beds. I plan to display it in a bed of small pebbles....maybe add some small succulents. It's made of resin but doesn't look like plastic. The detail is outstanding. Totally pleased with this item and would recommend it to others.

Not-so-perilous purchase
Every Toscano product is a slight gamble. I think this might be because (according to their claim) the items are hand-finished. Speaking from my own experience (you would NOT believe the number of Toscano pieces I own), some of these alleged hand-finishers are meticulous artists; others have all the skills of an untalented primary school kid. All I can say is that I have two of this particular faery (what can I say? I like symmetry!) and there are no 'finishing' issues on either. I suspect that's because this item is two-tone, with the colour in the basic resin and no over-painting for a 'hand-finisher' to mess up. The only issue I have is with her hands, which are rather crudely modelled in comparison to the rest of the sculpture. A great pity, and the reason for a 4-star review instead of 5. But apart from that, I'm more than happy with my (2) purchases. They live indoors, because a) like most Toscano products, they're far too good to be outdoors, and b) in my experience Toscano products do NOT do well in the British climate, even when you follow the little instruction sheet. A final note: It would probably be breaking some sort of Amazon rule if I were to say that this little statue occasionally comes to life when you're not around... so I'm NOT going to say that. The very notion is ridiculous, right? ;)

Good quality
This is a large adult fairy and rather attractive. Shame it does not have anchoring holes as, although quite heavy, she might fly away in heavy winds. Watch out for the old style polystyrene foam packing. It gets everywhere. Update: Her ethereal green colour looks quiet eerie at dusk and her modelling has a definite supernatural aspect. Very pleased!

Stunning fairy
I love this fairy, she looks stunning in our garden the details on her are beautiful, only one problem with her is the wings,they just slot into her on the back, so you have to be very careful not to knock them off her back,apart from that she looks very beautiful in the garden you won’t be disappointed with her xx

Celtic Fairy perilous perch Garden ornament
I have to say that she is the most favourite of the fairies i have in the garden; I have never seen anything quite like her; she is admired by all who come to our front door; she has pride of place outside by the door. A quality product that oozes designer looks and the resin feels really smooth; nothing like other resin products. We love her very much and will look out for others in this kind of material and design by Toscano (Blagdon). The colour is lovely too. Thank you so much

very well made and a solid piece ... will look nice in the garden, ive added 2 pictures (the can of Caffrey's is to give an idea of the size of the statue) worth the asking price (£19.21) all day
