Pretty and Serene

Overall, I love her. But as some have mentioned, the paint is a bit funky. You can see it’s discolored. I bought the statue used so who knows what conditions it was kept under. Yes I will definitely buy more statues from this company.

Wow - And not in a good way

Wow. So I wasn't expecting much, and it was significantly larger than I expected. But man the efforts in the labor making this... I feel like the employees are being rushed too fast and the worker had maybe five minutes with it total. The review that claims it looks like cheap glittery gold paint - that's exactly what it is. The purple side of her dress is smeared on mine and somehow she had a gold tinsel ribbon about an inch long stuck to her face. I don't know if I can really get it off. The weirdest part is that tinsel has nothing to do with this product... The gold paint is pretty uneven, it just looks unfinished. I certainly hope they treat their employees better :( I'm satisfied and she's still nice to look at, but it certainly looks cheap. You get what you pay for - if this matters a lot to you I would get a different one.

good for the cost

the statue arrived before the expected date. the box was pretty beat up but i think that was my usps carrier since I've had that happen before and the shipments were not from amazon. as for the statue itself, well its really nice. the color looks a lil washed out but i kind of like it that way. looks more subdued and peaceful. the lil ledge near the base is a great spot to place a tea-light. all in all i was expecting a so-so looking plasticy statue but was pleasantly surprised to get a very nice work of art. and for the price I would say go for it to anyone in the market for a quan yin / guan yin statue just for a lil decoration.

disappointed -

This size and form of this statue makes it a good buy for the money, but, it does not resemble the catalogue picture or description. The description reads "awash in beautifully muted shades of green, lavender, faux bronze and stone". There are two very tiny areas on each upper lapel that are a nice green and lavender; the "faux bronze" is comprised of what looks like a dusting (but it does not rub off) of cheap looking gold glitter. The "stone" part is essentially the same color as the "bronze", just minus the glitter. So, it's disappointing in person, not nearly as nicely colored as the misleading picture appears to be. 3/13 I'm noticing that they changed the picture after I wrote this - this picture resembles the actual item. I guess these reviews actually make a difference.

For the money...

For the money, this is a big statue; but it is a bit smaller than I thought it was going to be. However, it can be used indoors or out and is quite pretty. I, too, was concerned that it might look "plasticky" but it it looks very nice; too nice to put outdoors (and have it disappear!) So, it will go in my living room with some chakra color tea lights. It came well packed. There was a gash in the side of the box, but the statue wasn't touched. I'm going to enjoy having her adding some serene ambiance to my space. Love her lotus necklace... I want one for me :)

nice statue

Have this lovely statue out on our back deck area. I wasn't fond of the paint job so I spray painted it a lovely copper color and did some highlighting on it. Adds a lovely zen energy to the area.

Quan Yin

She is pretty but not as "gorgeous" as the ad implied. BUT, didn't buy her for her beauty. Will put her by the front door on a bench so she'll be covered and not exposed to the elements. I'll love coming home, and she'll remind me of the goodness of my home and the need to be always kind and compassionate whether coming or going.

So happy and grateful!

Oh my gosh, she is beautiful. I was so happy when I opened this up. She has light colors (not all one shade), and looks perfect in my room. I will be getting more of these if I can. Reasonably priced and not way too small. I'm so glad I found a female statue to my liking, she is about 12" tall and sits on a lotus flower. I'm so grateful someone is selling these!

Quan Yin

This is very poor quality of statue of Guan Yin, this plaster or pottery and it’s very easily to get broken, I have find another statue of quan yin on EBay and the quality is fantastic compared to on amazon

Cheap and unfinished looking

This item is better seen from a distance amongst planting where it doesn't look so cheap and unfinished. I have no idea why it has been given such a high rating in other reviews.
