Used for Backup Camera Install
I couldn't find these locally and was glad to see I could get them on Amazon and for a decent price. I could find the other style of quick split connectors, but I preferred this style as it would be easy to disconnect and troubleshoot if the need should arise. I tapped into 16 gauge wire with no problem. It didn't cut all the way through the wire, just cut away some wire cover to make a connection. The male connector requires a bit of force to connect and disconnect, but I hope to not have to do that too often. I used one of these for the install of a backup camera that needed to tap into the reverse power wire.

Does the job, just a bit tough to clamp down, had to use pliers but other than that works good.

Rear-camera wiring on VW Jetta
Those worked like a charm. I wired a rear-view camera on my VW Jetta in 3 minutes with those. Very easy with those.

Difficult to use due to poor quality
Eh. These are not the quality that I would like. I used them to tap into my vehicle to install a new multi-function stereo. They are hard to apply. The metal tap falls out easily. To put enough pressure on the T-tap to capture and tap the wires requires six hands and careful placement of my pliers. In the end I wished that I had bought the much more expensive taps sold at my local auto parts store.

Used these to tap a reverse light wire in my 2013 Ford Escape for a backup camera. They work great!
