If you have family that needs to take a shower, I would get this. It I put it on the bath tub and it worked grate and dose not move at all.

best on the market

This is so easy to move and incredibly easy to use!!! This is a real heavy duty product. The knob to turn is big making it easy to clamp on and off to move it!!! This does NOT use suctions cups, its a real mechanical clamp uses pressure and doesn't wiggle when you clamp it properly

Useful

Bought this for rental property where tenant is older. This item for the most part is well designed and heavy duty but can be improved by (1) being taller and (2) grip material to tub could be stickier.

Works better on a porcelain tub.

I had my other Drive attached to my tub for 4 years. I needed a new one. Works great for getting in and out of the tub. I also use it for help getting off the toilet. I like the fact it just slips on and clamps down with no holes to be drilled.

Amazing easy to install sturdy safe handle!!

I am SO IMPRESSED!! This safety rail we ordered for my mom who got out of hospital and came to live with us. She needed it for steadiness to get in and out of the shower/tub. It’s sturdy. It’s strong. It attached perfectly and it could be for several widths for most tub edges. She even used it to steady herself on the toilet because it was attached to the tub beside the toilet. This was an invaluable item! A cinch to install. Easy to take off to give her to take home with her, or for another family member to use the washroom who didn’t require it on. I was so impressed! This is an amazing safety product that it the right height for safely getting in and out of the tub edge. Our tub edge is high too (deep tub) and she was able to get in and out unassisted.

Seems Sturdy

So far it seems to be doing the job just fine. You need to pay attention when you're installing it, as it needs to be installed on a straight/flat side of the tub, and make sure that all of the padded surfaces make proper contact and that nothing is off on a weird angle; maximize the surface area that is in contact with your tub so that there's no chance of it slipping/moving when weight is applied to it. If you're hoping to put it on an end of the tub that curves/bends, it may not work for you. Tighten it up good and give it a pull in any direction to ensure that it's trustworthy, but make sure you check it regularly in case it somehow shifts or gets loose. If you accidentally bang your knee on it when getting into/out of the tub, it hurts a lot, so be mindful of where you've mounted it. Anyway, it does the job and I trust it.

Who did the welds, a ferret?

The welds are absolutely terrible, cold and no penetration, not even ground down, just painted over. Numerous spots along the weld which have huge holes. The manufacturer should be embarassed putting out a piece of "safety" equipment like this which such poor workman ship. So if it breaks and I slip and fall, I can sue ? Why yes, yes I can. Not even certified by CSA or UL, just Chinese junk.

a little narrow

The clamping section was almost too narrow for the side of our tub. It fits very snuggly without any adjustment at all. I thought it wouldn't fit, but I realized I was trying to make it fit over a tub wall that flared. As soon as I moved the clamp to where the walls were parallel, it then barely fit. I loved that it came completely assembled.

High quality construction

When looking at the piece, I was actually expecting it to be part plastic and to find out it's all solid steel I was more than happy. I was afraid this wouldn't fit on the side of our bathtub and to be honest it was pretty close but once it was completely opened it slid right on and tightened up so effortlessly and can be placed anywhere on the side of our tub. It is thickly enameled which is perfect and the handle height is perfect (although my only critique is I wish I could control the height of the handle as I use it for bathing and showering). Where the piece joins to the tub (large panels for sturdiness) has silicone or rubber which (even when wet) holds the piece tightly to the tub and best of all does not scratch at all. I am very happy with this purchase and you will be too - just make sure to measure the area where you want to place it on your tub (my tub was 1" smaller than the max size).
