Diffcult to assemble.

Nice sturdy, functional hose reel. This is the second one I bought both boxes were slightly torn and nuts and bolts were missing they just dump the hardware in the box without putting them in a plastic bag what do you expect, missing parts. No diagram on what bolt goes where. Very difficult to assemble almost impossible to line up the bolts on the hose reel cylinder. The hose reel assembly should be assembled at the factory . Time will tell how it holds up in the construction field.

It works.

One part was missing but I managed to find a work around. All the small parts were in the bottom of the box so its no wonder some got lost as there was a hole in the box. This unit works but is somewhat hard to reel in the hose. Unrolling the hose is no problem at all.

Ok quality. But the function was not what I expected, will not roll up heavy 5/8 hose without tipping over

Hmmmm

The hose reel is great; very sturdy and functional. The disappointment however is that it didn't come with a leader hose! Why these are sold without them is anybodies guess...a let down when I opened the box and realized I had to go out and buy the leader hose separately. Otherwise, very happy with the product and good value for the money.

Connections rust out after a couple of years

It looks like the steel used is not galvanized. It should be stainless! The pieces that carry water are incredibly rusty and one connector was so rusted that it just cracked in half rendering this thing useless. I'm not sure if they sell replacement parts but if not I've got a pretty nice hose storage reel instead of a useful product.

Very difficult to assemble. Directions unclear. Tolerances were were too tight. The bearing did not fit and was ruined during assembly. I wrote Jackson Mfg with no response. I'm selling it in our next yard sale.

Best hose reel I ever had.

I've had several hose reels that eventually come apart, break or for some reason can't stand up to a 100' hose. This one works great, easy to move around and handles the hose with no problem. Still just like the day I got it.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

All ratings for this product should not even be one star. Two months ago I called the company to get replacement parts, hose reel was leaking like a sieve, but they never showed up and now you can't get replacement parts for it. All I can do is fill out a lengthy warranty claim for it and wait 2-4 weeks for a response and hope I get my money back. Save yourself a ton of trouble and avoid this product.
