I am never using another powder ever again. I get so much compliments on my base makeup because of this ELF POWDER and I love it so much. Boosted my confidence 10000%, and leaves your face looking and feeling amazing!!!! I have this powder in sheer and in another shade (I forgot the name sorry) and they have been my everyday powders.

It works for me.

I am very pale, and the sheer powder works fantastic over my make-up. It is described as a primer, but I didn't need additional powder with it. Yes, it is sheer. If you need a lot of coverage for pimples or scars, then this would be too sheer. It feels wonderful and lasts all day. I do use a cream primer under it, and that is why it works perfect for me. I am 74, and it doesn't show the wrinkles so much either. The heavier your make-up; the more lines will show. The powder is less expensive than most, and that is a plus to me, as well.

Always Satisfied

I don't know why some of these reviews are saying it is too "glittery". I don't have that problem, at least with the translucent, and have been buying this same product for the last 10 years (maybe more, not sure anymore!) since I first I saw it in a store before it was available online. Will always use it and recommend it. I primarily use the translucent so that may be why. Sets the finish perfectly. Since I started using it all those years ago, I always get the compliment that my face is "flawless". I can use it with just a tinted moisturizer, a Cc or BB cream, and my foundation without it being "cakey". The luminous pod does have a glitter effect to it but there's a reason and you're not supposed to use much. My advice? If you don't want too much glitter, use less and only put in the areas you want to highlight rather than your whole face. Any makeup artist will tell you - lighter colors bring things forward and darker colors push things back. It's a trick of the light and the eye that makes the difference. I have a super dark birthmark on the side of my face that people have always said "you need to blend your makeup in". You'd never know it was there now thanks, in part, to this. If you just want the matte finish with the flawless look, always go with the translucent. Make sure to read the description as well - works best with a full coverage foundation. I use Phoera, which is absolutely AMAZING stuff & requires very little to be effective. It's my perfect combination. I haven't tried the yellow powder yet as my complexion is lighter. Purple and yellow are opposites on the color wheel, so I advise using the yellow to cancel out any undesired purple areas of a lighter face - like bruises or under eye circles - if your complexion is lighter. Like anything, it'll take practice to see what combination works best for your makeup regiment and complexion. I'd advise getting all 3 and play around with them to figure what'll work best for you. I plan to buy the yellow soon to test it out. The picture I attached is without a filter. All I'm wearing is my Tinted moisturizer and the translucent powder.

Good as high end powders

I've switched to this product a few years ago. I previously used the Laura Mercier powder. This is just as good for a much better price!

Great powder

Great product. I love ELF's range. I am fairly new to makeup; I started suffering from adult acne aged 30 so wanted to cover it up without angering it. Since then I've delved into actually wearing makeup. I couldn't find a face powder that didn't look caked on or that didn't make my face look dry and withered. A little (very little) goes a very long way. Pop a tiny bit on you powder brush and blend it right in. Sets your foundation invisibly. This is a product review so it is getting 5* as I love the product, but the packaging is messy. DO NOT remove all of the tape that covers the holes in the cover of the loose powder, or it gets everywhere. I have just punctured a couple of holes through the tape so I can tap out what I need, and minimum product escapes when I open the lid.

Good product value for money

I only use this now, it’s great for setting your foundation and gives it a nice light matte effect that isn’t cakey at all and my foundation lasts alot longer. I like it.

Pure glitter

This is so glittery. Truly awful and doesn't do what it claims. I used a small amount and my face is like a disco ball.

Does job perfectly

I use this to set lipstick, I bought it over a year ago now and I still have so much of it left. My lipstick doesn't move and I seem to have s lifetime supply. Excellent value for money!
