High quality, sensitivity friendly, possible candidate for household textile conservation

Thank you to the manufacturer for disclosing the ingredients. I have allergies to certain preservatives used in lots of liquid soap, shampoo, and detergents. We are also grateful for a fragrance-free option because everyone in our household is sensitive in one way or another. I've been using this kind for about a year and it's a good quality. I do a lot with textiles and went to grad school for textile conservation. For a household laundry detergent, this is my top choice. It's gentle and I think would be worth trying out on heirloom pieces of necessary (test your piece first!). It's also up to the job of daily laundry, though we don't play muddy sports, so I can't speak to that kind of need. It's also a good thickness (not like the whole foods house label one with is thinned). I feel like I'm getting a fair value for the price.

If their liquid is not effective enough, you want the Ecover Zero tablets, which are superb.

If you need unscented dishwasher soap which can be used on sterling and china, this Ecover line is seemingly the only one on the market. The liquid is considerably less effective than the tablets, as far as clouding on glass. I don't use a rinse aid, however, which would probably sort that out. I find that the tablets don't require a rinse aid and don't darken sterling, and they are just an aces product. No scent at all--perfect.

My fav clean detergent

These used to be a available at Whole Foods for around $9 a bottle (same size, brand). Now that I can’t find them anymore through prime delivery via my local Whole Foods, I decided to bite the bullet and pay more for these. I def think they are worth $12 a bottle. I’ve tried Meloria and other clean laundry detergents. So far Ecover is my fav all around. It actually cleans! I feel like a lot of other clean detergents do not actually clean, leaving clothes soiled/stained looking. I have 3 kids so I’m washing clothes A LOT, and I’m so tired of re-washing everything. This detergent uses a small amount and lasts a long time. I only use a capful in my small stackable washer! One bottle lasts 6-8 weeks! I do about 14-20 small loads a week. The scent is VERY minimal.

great product but leaked in shipping

I love this laundry detergent, but each bottle leaked 5+% in shipping, creating a large mess and reducing the value of buying in bulk.

Far Superior to Seventh Generation for Laundry Cleaning, Including Whites

Thank you eCover, for producing a liquid laundry soap that actually cleans clothes. I used Seventh Generation for years and thought we were doomed to wear dingy clothes the rest of our lives. After using the eCover version for about a month now, I can actually see a significant improvement. It is particularly noticeable with whites, like my husband's tee-shirts. Those used to look dingy grey with yellow around the collar. Now they look almost white again, even with washing them in cold water. It's pretty exciting.

Great!

Have been using this for years. Works great. I like everything ECOVER. I keep trying other natural brands (dishwasher products too) but still keep coming back to this one. It works great, that is all I can tell. 6 months later. I still love this detergent. Great foam, very effective with stains. Love love love. Next time will order the same brand but with a fragrance.

Affordable and reliable

I bought this 4 pack and, with two people in my household, it literally lasted almost two years. Works great with cold water and my sensitive skin has never had a problem. Buying again now. Hoping for another 2 years.

Great product, not-so-great packing

Love this detergent for a more natural laundry detergent solution (and I've tried a lot of detergents!). The cap isn't designed well, so leaks a bit. Also, the 4 bottle package is a great money-saver, but sometimes arrives leaking (due to cap design) so then I lose some product. Isn't worth the hassle of returning because of the gamble of getting another package with the same issue, hence 4 and not 5 stars.

Good Laundry soap for sensitive skin

The chemical smell isn't the greatest out of the bottle but it doesn't reflect the smell of the laundered clothes. What matters the most is I don't get rashes, hives or any allergic reaction which I even got from tide free, so that says something... doesn't it.

a mess--improperly packaged

The first time I ordered this product all four bottles were taped around the opening for extra security. This time they were not taped and all four leaked in the containing box creating a godawful mess. I don't know whether I will risk ordering again.

I oredered a case of 4x 93 oz but only 1 bottle arrived. Tried to uze the on line form to get this rectified but no success. I guess i have no recouse.
