Soft and comfy

Good holiday decoration, not for every day use
I just wanted a throw for my new couch that would be a bit festive for the holidays. This was exactly what I was looking for. I can’t see myself using it beyond the season, for a number of reasons, but I wouldn’t want to pay a quality level price for something that will attract moths for 10 months out of the year anyway. It’s soft enough, but has permanent fold marks from the packaging process. After two washings they’re still present. It does shed some, again after two washings, but not enough to be noticeable to the average person. You can easily pull off a chunk of the soft white portion (wool? Cotton blend? Idk) if you aren’t careful when folding, but it won’t leave fuzzies on your couch. So it has the potential to shed, but it doesn’t actively shed - if that makes sense. This all sounds like nit-picking, I know, but you should know that this isn’t the kind of throw you use year round. The quality just isn’t there. But if you just want a cheap (but not “cheap”) holiday throw blanket that won’t leave you itchy and can actually keep you warm, then this is the best you can hope for without spending too much money.

Very lightweight
I was very disappointed with this blanket because the “Sherpa” lining is very thin and not really suitable as a gift or even useful for keeping yourself warm except maybe as a light throw in a warmer climate. It got returned.

This blanket is super soft, warm, and made a great Christmas gift. It's worth the price.

Poor quality
Very surprised what lower quality it was for an Eddie Bauer throw. Shocked actually. Ended up using it as a dog blanket instead. The Sherpa side looks nappy and didn’t hold up but the dog likes it. Thank god I had a dog I guess or back it would go! Not great quality. Really thin!!

Disappointed
Smaller than the product description said. Mine is 47"x58" NOT 50x60. Also much thinner than I expected considering the brand. It came shrink-wrapped, but putting it in the dryer fluffed it up a bit. If this was meant to be a gift I would return it, but I bought it just have an extra throw for company at Christmas, so I will keep it.

You always get what you pay for. So, I returned it!
This throw is a beautiful tartan, primarily a mix of deep reds and black. It is of medium weight, soft and no doubt would be warm. If you are only interested in the look and feel, then this is a good buy. However, the quality of the fabrics used are so inferior to what you would expect from a name like Eddie Bauer. The flannel-finished cotton is a cheaper/less dense weave and the sherpa-like polyester fabric is thin, and even thinner in several spots. I am guessing your might be paying an extra $10 for that little Eddie Bauer tag in the corner. I returned it and will no doubt spend a fortune on better quality. Not too many great deals out there - almost always, you get what you pay for! I keep forgetting that.

What a disappointment
This product looked cozy and luxurious in the photo but is in fact made of cheap, faded, poorly woven cotton plaid which is covered in lint, and very thin fleece which sheds lint onto the cotton and everything it touches. Sadly, I would give this a “do not buy” rating. Eddie Bauer’s standards have slipped dramatically.
