Love pan, but lid handle broke
It is May 1, 2023. I purchased this 3 quart pan with the strainer lid in 2021. I use the pan 1-3 times a month and wash in our dishwasher. The handle on the lid broke off a few months ago. I can't use the lid without a handle to grip. I've been using a different pan's lid to keep using this pan. I decided to look for a handle replacement when my mom had lid and pan handles from a 1960s pan set break off. To get a replacement handle for this pan that matches, the cost ranges from $7-25, depending where you buy and if you pay shipping costs. I found a local hardware store sells replacement handles, but dont match. I can't remove the broken handle and thought maybe the store employees would help me and I then buy their handles ($7). I'm debating what to do. I'm disappointed this happened within 2 years of buying it. I do like the metal quality, the pour spouts on the pan and strainer feature on the lid. After using several different kinds of saucepans, this is one of my favorites.

Quality cookware.
I needed another pit and all my pots are Farberware, a good quality product. I'm glad their still in business.

Our new best pot
When my husband bought this pot, I thought, "Great, another pot to clutter up the cabinets." However, it is becoming my new best favorite pot to cook with. It's smaller than some Farberware I have but it's lightweight and fits right inside my larger pot. I love the lid because it fits snug on the pot, and it has a feature that lets me drain liquid from the pot without removing the lid. So cool! It seems to heat up faster than my Magnolite pots and the clean-up has been super easy. Definitely worth what my husband paid for it!

Will last you decades
We've had this pot for over 10 years and it's still going strong. This is definitely a fav, thank you!

It's beautiful. Matches my vintage pots.
It matches my other pans from decades ago although it's a different brand. I'm GLAD I could get this stainless steel pan in this 3 qt. size. It does have one different feature--an easy-drain-your- cooked vegetables cover. It's very handy.

Good quality, good value
I like the pan, but I ordered the straining pot, and got the regular pot instead. Good pan, but not the one I ordered.

Farberware did their job!
When the package first arrived, I was disappointed. The lid didn't fit well on the pot, and there was a rattling sound coming from it, like something was stuck between the aluminum and stainless layers of the pots. I knew there was a lifetime warranty, but I also knew I would have to send a big, heavy pot across the country, which would cost a lot to ship. I decided to call Farberware and see if the rattling sound would be covered by the warranty, and if I should ship the lid back, etc. At first I was perplexed, because the lady just said "No. Don't ship it." I thought she was confused as to what I was asking, or thought I wanted to return it for a refund instead of a replacement. Anyway, she told me about some first-timer deal (not exactly sure what) where all I had to do was fax a copy of the packing list, along with a note of what was wrong, and my shipping address and that they would send me a brand new pot free of charge. I was skeptical. I googled the fax number, and couldn't find it related to Farberware anywhere. But I figured I would use the pot as it was and wait a few weeks. If it never showed up, I would be very disappointed, but the pot was usable so it wasn't worth the shipping cost to send it back. ANYWAY, today I got a big package from Farberware with a brand new pot inside, just as promised, and it was perfect. The lid fit tighter and there was no rattling sound. I'm very pleased! I just wish I had sent in a complaint about the 1.5 quart straining pot I also bought. The lid doesn't fit well either, but I thought since both the pots had the problem I shouldn't worry about it. Oh well. So all in all, it took a long time to actually get a working pot, but now that I have it I am pleased. The straining mechanism is nicer than having to get out a big bulky strainer and having to clean it too. I will say that when you have a pot full of hot water and pasta, it can be daunting having to pick up the pot and hold on to the handle and flip it over, but I haven't had too much difficulty. And it will probably be better now that the lid fits.

Durable
My mother bought me a set of farberware in 1968. I still have it looks great! Somehow my three quart got lost in my move. So this is a replacement. They will never wear out! I’ll pass it down to my granddaughters.

Love the strainer capability
I liked that this pan is sturdy. I love that I can strain directly from it, and that there are 2 different sized holes in each side of the lid, to allow for straining larger and smaller items. If I had to name a negative, it would be that I feel that the handle is awkward to use. I have medium sized hands and find that the slender, angular feel of the handle isn't as ergonomic as it could be. Something that fits the palm in a better way is needed. JMHO

Pot is great
The straining lid is great - just need to remember that it doesn't lock so need to hold it. Pot is excellent

great pot
This pot was just what I was looking for. It does seem a little thin but is holding up to the cooking.

great pasta pot
Well made, just the right size for pasta for 2. The draining feature eliminates the need for a colander !
