Works very good for water changes with city tap water.

I use the blue bottle water changes and the red bottle bio treatment for new tank live cycles with no fish loss.

Best water conditioner

This is the only water conditioner I use. I love the price and the product is so wonderful. I have been using it over a year now and I have never had one problem with it. I truly believe if you try it you will love it too.thank you fluval and Amazon.

Works fast and no Problems

Did a partial water change, put in the proper amount of additive, and added water. All the fish were fine after the water change. I have been using Fluval brand of water conditioner for my Betta fish tanks and 20-gallon hex for about a year and a half and have had no issues! Also, it is always a really good price and you get a lot of product! Also, it removes chloramine, which not all conditioners do. The only thing that I can say about this that is negative is the measuring cup that comes with it does not measure for anything smaller than 10 gallons. So for my 3-gallon tank, I have to measure for myself using some estimation on the cap. I’ve never had an issue with this, but it is just a tiny bit less convenient. Used to buy it at my fish store, but as usual, Amazon has the best price and it's delivered fast to your door!

Good name, does what its supposed to do... Would only change one tiny thing for perfection.

Seems to do what it's supposed to and a good name. The only thing I'd change is, there is one brand that has directions for dose (3drops) for each gallon of water-- Since I refill my tank using gallon containers, that's very handy-- I just treat the water before I add it to the tank. This has measurements for larger quantities.... So you have to estimate how much water you'll be putting in, measure it it, then add a bit to each gallon (I have glass cats and they're really sensitive to stuff in the water -- so I like the water treated before I put it in, and not too little and not too much!). Which just doesn't seem too accurate and is a pain. I suppose I could sit down and figure it out mathmatically, but wouldve been really nice to just have a top capable of drops when not squeezed much, and dose written on the label. But that's personal preference-- the product is good!

My go-to solution for treating aquarium water

Fluval water conditioner is an absolutely great solution to removing chlorine from your aquarium water. I love the dosing cup, early in adopting the hobby I tried a few products with squeeze bottle drip tops and hated them. The 16.9 oz (500 ml) bottle is the perfect size for holding plenty of product and still being easy to accurately dose. I currently have 3 active tanks, 2 tropical and a goldfish, that I use this in. I've never had any issues with cloudiness or fish problems related to the conditioner, my fish and crustaceans seem to take to it quite well. Overall, I have nothing but good things to say about the water conditioner. Everything Fluval that I have tried has exceeded expectations. In my experience, their reputation for quality aquarium products has been well earned.

I use daily while tubbing my axolotl waiting on tank to cycle.. Easy instructions. I just wish it broke it down for each gallon instead of just every 10 gallons of water.

Big bottle... but not as good value as I hoped

It does the job, and on the face of it, the larger bottle seemed like great value. Keeping fish can get expensive, so my priority as fish keeper is keeping costs down, I don't care for flashy packaging & keeping pointless marketing departments in a job. I thought this seemed better value than the brand my local pet store sells, but once I had it in hand I realised it is dosed at 10ml per 40L of water, rather than 10ml to 100L like the previous product I was using, which also came in a smaller bottle. Remember, a less concentrated product means more plastic waste and unnecessary increased costs in packaging, shipping and manufacture. Before you buy on the basis of value, be sure you calculate how many litres this bottle will treat, and compare with other brands. So I feel like I was cheated a little as I need to use 2.5x as much product for the same result which takes up more of my time too, but this entirely my fault for not checking the dose rate before clicking 'add to basket'.

Great for conditioning tap water for my 64L tropical aquarium. At a dosage of 10ml per 40L of water, a 500ml lasts a long time. We use Tetra Easy Balance weekly to minimise water changes. As such, I do a 40-50% water change once a month - using about 8ml of Aquaplus in the replacement tap water. We have no issues at all - my fish are healthy and enjoy the clean and safe water.

big is best

as a tropical fish keeper this is a must!!! as our water is fine for us but not for fish untreated..chlorine and high fluoride contents will damage fishes sensitive organs so stripping it back with this fluval water treatment is a must. it's high quality this and I recommend it so the bulk buy is the best option as small bottles are inconvenient and work out more expensive

Poor intructions

Always found fluval products work well hence purchase. Only grip is the instructions. 5ml per 1litres. Is that for the whole tank or just the water you replace. More instructions would be a big help. Now I'm left guessing

Brilliant!

So iv used this after having to set up a new tank and needing to move the fish in immediately. It's worked well my water tests are coming back perfectly. My fish are showing no signs of any stress even my sensitive small clown loaches. Iv used this along side fluval booster cycle and fluval biological cleaner and all is well. I would recommend to keep testing water in a new set up as things can change quickly in the first couple of months!
